We stayed here whilst visiting the brilliant Christmas markets in Berlin. The hotel is about a 10 minute bus ride from Potsdamer Platz and was originally a grand old house which had been converted to apartments. The rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean and the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was plentiful and very fresh...it has... More

This is a wonderful change from the usual hotel chains of UK. Friendly staff who are always willing to help, great transport links to the centre and attractions, larger than average rooms, lovely high ceilings and lots of quirky 'olde worlde' features. I would definitely stay here again without any hesitation!

My partner and I stayed here for three nights and what a lovely place to stay in, the staff where very helpful and spoke good English so I did not have to show myself up trying out my lack of German. The room was of a good standard but the only problem we had was with the toilet, the seat... More

Stayed here for 3 nights with parents. Check-in was quick and hassle-free, the receptionist was very helpful. My single room was not particularly large, but the bathroom seemed disproportionately big for a single room (especially considering my parents' double room had quite a small bathroom). The room was clean, my bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the wifi was... More

10 minutes walk from Potsdammer Strasse stations, on bus routes; nicely old-fashioned, but with perfectly adequate facilities and helpful staff eg booked a taxi etc. Not expensive considering the location. Breakfasts quite good, restaurant great. A little noisy in the mornings, and not easy if disabled (lift stops between floors) Strongly recommended. See website for pictures to check on "charm".

The staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze and we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed a total of three nights and had a wonderful time. Our room was at the back of the hotel so it was quiet and dark. The weather was cool, so having just a window open kept... More

Loved the look of the hotel. The staff were very nice, friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect, really close to the city center and the main attractions. It also had a bus top in front of it and the tube station wasn't very far. The restaurant was also very good, the food was lovely and for... More

We recently stayed 4 nights in this hotel. The hotel itself is in a traditional 1940's style and is very unique. If you don't like the decor don't book a hotel with this type of charm. We had room 120 which is situated facing outwards to the main road; it was noisy and the room could do with a fan... More

This hotel is located right in front of a bus stop and just down the street from a subway station. It's a perfect location for easily getting around Berlin and back to the hotel. If you don't want to spend a lot of money for a room, I think this hotel is good value for money. The staff are friendly... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
