Biz send me for a couple of days to Berlin. A hotel in walking distance to the meeting point was recommended and this was the place to stay. An old style german city property with a large staircase entrance. Real life all around, shops and eateries from every corner of the planet, biz people to live in the not to... More

I stayed here last month for three nights and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The location is good, within walking distance of U-Bahn trains (Kliestpark), and on a main road with many buses for the short trip to the city centre. There are many shops and restaurants and take-away places in the area, most of which are open late.... More

You will not regret if you choose to stay in this hotel. Good Old German quality in everything. Very nice rooms, excellent breakfast. Professional and nice staff. My husband stayed in this hotel 10 years ago and he noticed only an improvement of standards.

The hotel is reasonably well located, near bus station with various shops, restaurant and convenient stores nearby . The nearest U bahn is about 15 minutes walk which is a bit far away. It is not near any tourist attractions, so it is abit time consuming if you want to do a lot of sight seeing. The room is clean... More

Visited here during trying to buy a used car from honest turkish car dealer. Hotel is well situated. If You are navigating with phone notice that You choose correct City-part, otherwise You will find yourself in another Berlin Hauptstrasse... Parking is little bit complicated. It is very easy to leave your car in front of the hotel (at bus lane),... More

I booked at the hotel based on business to do in the not too distant area and on recommendation from someone else. Schöneberg isn't exactly the scenic part of Berlin, and the surrounding area is a diverse mix of nationalities and socioeconomic levels. There are very nice houses next to ones in great need of repair and the street is... More

We can recommend the Hotel Schoneberg. It is a very comfortable hotel 10 mins bus ride from the centre. We had a lovely well appointed quiet room at the rear of the hotel. The staff were very helpful and very pleasant and ensured we had a good holiday. Coupar Angus

The personnel of the hotel was very friendly and provided good advice. The breakfast was very good (fresh and good variety). About 10 min. walk to the nearest U-bahn. Or take the bus in front of the hotel (20-25 min to Alexanderplatz). Our room at the front of the hotel wasn’t very big, but was sufficient and clean. Nice beds.... More

We waked into this hotel, looking to change from a very contemporatry and more expensive hotel. It looks a little shabby in the hallways, but the rooms are large and very comfy. The staff was great; provided us with non-feather, fluffy pillows, gave us maps and directions to anything we asked. They upgraded us to a suite at no extra... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
