This is a good budget hotel, within easy reach from Berlin-Schönefeld airport and close to the metro system. Breakfast is good, staff is kind, though I had to walk down again to get the wifi password...

I recently stayed at this hotel while in Berlin on business and was positively surprised by the spaciousness and the overall comfort of the room and especially by the great breakfast buffet, which is also very reasonably priced (as I found out when I invited someone to join me for breakfast). I asked for a quiet room and got one,... More

Was here 2 years ago, gave good review. Visited again May 2015, I have NO reason to change my opinion. Reasonably priced, good breakfast, perfect location for a tourist planning to use subway anyway. And service-minded and friendly staff. Large, airy rooms, and quiet neighbourhood. Perfect!

This hotel has the combination of everything to make your stay an enjoyable one. The U-Bahn and the many bus stations are just 2 minutes away taking you mostly to every corner of Berlin. A market is located nearby the place and a supermarket is facing the hotel. More over you can find the Volkspark Hasenheide just facing the hotel... More

This is my 3rd time staying here when I visit my son. I feel well taken care of by the reception staff. As someone else has said, they are gracious about my attempts to practice my German and then speak perfect English. The room is a good size, simply furnished, clean, and quiet. I find the bed very comfortable. The... More

Great hotel with lovely staff. Very easy to get to all the places of interest. Lots to choose from at breakfast time. We had peaceful nights and slept very well. We will book at this hotel when we visit Berlin again.

Close to shopping and a short U-Bahn trip to the main attractions, Hotel LvB is a gem for the budget traveller. The staff is friendly and professional and maintain a very clean facility. I found our room that faced the road to be very quiet. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Berlin, you'd be hard pressed... More

Staying here currently. Great location 200 meters from U Bahn. Nice prices and a cheap but filling breakfast buffet. All staff have been lovely putting up with my German and then reverting to perfect English when it gotbeyond me! Will retun in May and October. Only downside is no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Small Bar run by reception... More

7 of us spent three nights in the ludwig van beethoven hotel. The breakfast was great, the rooms were spacious, and it was very straightforward to travel into the city via the u-bahn. The u-bahn was a two minute walk from the hotel and it took less than. 10 minutes to reach alexanderplatz. The small bar was very welcoming at... More

This place is clean, a good value and in an interesting neighborhood. It's quiet, clean and you have a nice breakfast. There's nothing else you really need, right? There's some good place to eat nearby, the metro is really close and you have everything you need for your trip within a few minutes walk: groceries, accommodation, all sort of stores.... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
