Stayed here with a view to visit the Tempodrom. Stayed in Intercity hotels before. Cleaned to a high standard, great breakfast, beer a little expensive but typical for a hotel. Easy to travel anywhere in Berlin city, especially with the free transport ticket. Not really anywhere local to eat or drink without getting a train, but I did have a... More

The hotel itself is very good, nothing impressive, but a very good value for the price. The location is good and bad. The hotel is actually part of the station that accommodates international trains and the trains of the local public transportation system. The station houses several small bakeries and restaurants, so breakfast and a small snack is easily done.... More

First time in Berlin, and I chose the hotel for its excellent location as I was attending to music festival in Postbahnhof-Fritzclub. Mini bar useful in the room to keep food bought from the local markets cold. A great variety of places to eat around the station. The room was, however, really warm, and the only way to lower the... I booked my room via the website, didn't have to provide creditcard details or pay upfront. The reservation confirmation even mentioned I could cancel till 18h00 the date of my stay, which is very ordinary. As already mentioned in other review the hotel is located next/ on top of the Ostbahn railway station and as with all Intercity hotels you... More

was staying there for 2 nights - good value for money. if you are into nice crowd around - not the case, but as it is just in the train station - you can easily go anywhere you want. room was clean, tidy.

This hotel is so conveniently located in the Ostbahnhoff station so accessing any parts of the city is quite easy, as well as being only 20 mins away from Schonefield Airport. The rooms are basic but comfortable. We didn't choose breakfast so I can't comment. Overall an excellent choice and great value for money!

This hotel is really nice. It is situated exactly in the railway station Ostbahnhof, which is not very far from the center (2-3 stations, 15 min max). I was a little worried about the noise, but the hotel has really good windows and you can't hear anything from outside! The rooms are very clean. We even received passes for public... More

Excellent location for a visit to Berlin, 5 minutes walk from the Ostbahnhof, hotel is beautifully presented, rooms are very clean, bathrooms are wonderfully decorated. Breakfast is buffet style, hot and cold foods with all dietary needs catered for, I did not use the restaurant during my stay, there are lots of places to eat in Berlin. I noted the... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
