Seven nights. Three bedrooms, six people. Had to pay 15 euros for parking in the backyard per day, no video surveillance and free access from the street. NOT a safe place. Might as well use the street as parking. Clearly a money maker for the hotel. Was several evenings have to park on fire lanes. The hotel did not think... More

Myself and my girlfriend stayed here recently and all I can say is wow.....We arrived by train at Berlin Central Station(Hauptbahn Hof). We purchased a Berlin travel pass for 3 days, if you plan on seeing a lot (we went out to Potsdam as well) while your there I think its good value for your money, less hassle and you... More

Great hotel, good value for money. Try and stay in the new section of possible. Very close to bars etc of Friedrichshain and public transport. Also easy to get to Schonefeld Airport via S-Bahn. Food at breakfast was also great, as were all staff.

Spacious stylish rooms, great service, nice bed, super breakfast, excellent sauna with nice view. Buy your tranportation-ticket at the reception and explore Berlin. Restaurant closed for Holidays. Rituals products in the bathroom, love this!

After spending two weeks at the near by Andels Hotel, I found myself in need of a few extra nights but was not able to get a room there so I booked the New Berlin hotel and was pleasantly surprised. The reception is a tad small, not that it matters as they were very efficient in getting me checked in.... More

A great little hotel - if you can, try and get a room in the "new" building. Rooms are boutique style - spacious, comfortable and very well appointed with wet room bathroom, Sky TV and a large, very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast selection, and great room rates. I stayed on business, but would be a good choice for a pleasure... More

Needed a hotel in this location as business meeting close by. NH hotel was closer but twice the price (70 euro/night/single room). Booked 3 rooms, Boutique type rooms, large with wet rooms, quiet, opening windows, good wifi, great breakfast ( fried eggs cooked to order). Will stay here again.

Good choice for a couple. Location is great, especially if you like to stroll around Friedrichscain. Room. breakfast, service all top notch! Also, the downstairs restaurant served a good steak tartar, which is a must for me when visiting central Europe.

I have stayed in hotels world wide, and I judge them basically in three categories...... Service, rooms, and food. In these three categories I have never experienced such friendly and professional service as anywhere in the world as I have at New Berlin. Add to this first class service first class rooms no matter where you stay in the hotel,... More

New Berlin has beautiful, modern rooms and great service and thus excellent value for money. Also the breakfast leaves nothing to wish for. The location is a REALLY "coming" neighbourhood, also, very "Berlin"- style on a street that in any Western city would be called a highway. It is so much coming that it's simply not quite there yet.....all restaurants,... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
