Although it appears to be a little far out, Berlin's highly efficient tram system is only 2 blocks away and whisks you into Alexanderplaz and onto Hackescher Market in a few minutes (there is also a direct tram to the Hauptbanhof) making this a very convenient hotel from which to explore Berlin - at very reasonable rates. The hotel is... More

Been here for a good 3 nights and did enjoy the stay. The location is great and so is the staff and the breakfast. The rooms are a little small if you come with two big suitcases. Get a room to the back overlooking the garden and hence its rather quiet too.

Stayed here for one night; in a room in the new part of the hotel. The room was nice - we payed extra for a quiet room and it was exactly that. The drain in the bathroom floor was giving off a bad smell when we arrived, but this was quickly fixed by a helpful staff member and deodorising spray.... More

We stayed here for four nights during the summer in a suburb of Berlin called Friedrichshain. The city was very accessible from the hotel via the tram system, which ran very frequently and daily tickets were able to purchase from the hotel reception for less than 5e a day! (recommended) The room itself was generally good, well maintained and nice... More

Breakfast - spot on Location - 3 min walk from trams, spot on Staff - Helpful and attentive, spot on Overall - spot on Wifi - don't expect fibre optic but it's good enough to load the sports news or newspaper.

The stay was initially pleasant. Clean, friendly, inviting. The "hi-speed internet" was about as effective as dial-up. Terrible! I was charged almost 100 euros for a small grocery bag of clothes. AVOID

This is a very nice hotel with modern and very clean and cosy rooms, great breakfast and friendly staff. The hotel is in a quiet part of town and the rooms soundproofing is excellent so the sleep quality is great. One big let down is the WI-FI which is nearly useless and extremely slow so don't come here if that... More

Second time in Berlin and this time in the old East side. Easily accessible from Schoenefeld Airport. Lovely hotel with very helpful staff. Tram stop at the end of the road and within minutes you are at Alexanderplatz. Hotel in a up and coming area with bars and restaurants. Comfortable and clean hotel and lovely spacious rooms. Breakfast is not... More

We stayed here for a couple of nights over my boyfriends 30th birthday. I'd booked through some kind of deal and was a bit nervous after reading mixed reviews, but contacted the hotel before the visit a few times and all nerves disappeared. We stayed in one of the modern rooms, stylishly decorated with an amazingly powerful shower in the... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
