Excellent hotel with pleasant staff, superior swimming pool (and roof terrace for warm and sunny days), adequate fitness center and modern, comfortable rooms. Next to Potzdamer Platz, shopping malls, plus many restaurants within 2 minutes walk. Easy access to airport and city via Potzdamer Platz stations. Walking distance to Brandenburger Tor: 10 minutes

Just getting ready to check out after a 4 day visit to this fabulous hotel and I can't say enough good things about it. The suite we stayed in was great and it looked out to a quiet courtyard. The windows actually open and it was so nice to let in the cool evening breeze. The club lounge is one... More

This hotel had everything we hoped for. Staff unobtrusive but helpful in every way. Rooms spotless and the food for breakfast ......couldn't think of anything that wasn't there. Bathroom roomy with wet room that drained without effort and bath too, if desired. Loved this hotel.

First time in Berlin , got a great deal to stay at this hotel. Rooms are fantastic, staff are friendly and helpful. Sauna, steam room and pool are ideal to chill out after a day of sight seeing. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt for a six night City Break in May 2015. We had a suite (415) which comprised a sitting room with table, chairs sofa etc and a bedroom with a king sized bed. The bathroom was accessed from the bedroom and had a bath, separate toilet, wet shower area, sinks and a dressing area/wardrobe. The room... More

I visited here for a conference and stayed for a few days afterwards to explore the city. The hotel has a great central location, excellent facilities with large rooms, and notably good breakfasts. What really stood out for me was the helpfulness and friendliness of all of the staff. I have rarely felt so welcome and relaxed in a large... More

This was our first time in Berlin. This hotel is situated in a great spot, within walking distance to many tourist sites and a stone's throw from Potsdam Platz. Our room was lovely and big, the beds were very comfortable and the doonas and pillows were fabulous. This hotel has a great indoor pool (although it could have been a... More

Terrific location with easy access to restaurants, Starbucks, cafe and supermarket! Please note the supermarket is at basement of the mall across the hotel with plenty affordable take-out options for breakfast. Subway station is only 5 minutes walk from hotel and plenty cabs in front and back of hotel at all time.

We stayed 3 nights at this hotel in May/15. Rooms are good and clean and location is very central. Price is excellent. I would definitely return to it Walking distance to the Bundestag and Brandenburg gate. Breakfast however was very expensive.

We stayed for nights at the Berlin grand Hyatt. Although there was a mixup for the first night reservation, the staff was exceedingly cooperative in making the situation better. In fact they went out of their way to ensure that we had a good stay. The rooms are large, very well-equipped, including television in the bathroom and other first-class amenities.... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
