Clean comfortable stay. It was very easy to get from the Schoneberg airport to this hotel. The hotel is right next to a Generator Hostel, which we also looked at but decided we needed more comfort. This hotel was just that. Normal sized hotel room. Housekeeping even left new clean towels when we had the "do not disturb" sign on... More

I recently stayed at this hotel because I like the areas of Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshain in Berlin a lot. Plus a night was only 45 Euros for 2 people! The hotel and the rooms are a bit old-fashioned but it was clean and the reception staff were very helpful and friendly. So for that price thumbs up! Also just... More

The hotel is a little bit older but is very clean and comfort. We asked for a quiet room and we got it on the opposite side of the street so we didn't have so nice view. The staff is polite and always on service. Location is excellent, next to the tram and S-bahn stations so you can easily reach... More

The hotel is outside city. It can be easily reached by public transportation. The price was reasonable. The people there were very nice and helpful. The hotel itself was just average. I would not say it is a 4 star hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The television was old. It was not a flat screen... More

In terms of location, not bad. 1 min walk from a tram that takes you to Alexanderplatz area. There was a little mall beside the hotel, some mexican food and Burger King right opposite. Service also couldn't be faulted, staff were always very nice and friendly. However the decor of the hotel seemed rather dated and it just seemed a... More

Conveniently located in the trendy Prenzlauer Berg district of Berlin, this hotel offers great public transport connections (with tickets available at reception) and easy access to the Berliner Ring motorway. The Park Plaza's en suite rooms and suites (reasonably priced for spacious comfort) are comfortably furnished and feature all modern amenities including free Wi-Fi internet access via hotspot which is... We spent a week in Berlin and chose this hotel based on very good ratings with a great price. We were more than pleased with our choice. While it is a bit out of the way, public transportation (once figured out) was easy to use and very convenient. The staff was helpful in directing us. The room was great, and... More

Hotel is situated way east of central Berlin, but well accessible with public transportation system. Could not get a more central hotel due to a big conference in town. Having read recent reviews I was apprehensive (A/C problems in summer...) but - surprise - everything worked (except no hot water for a few hours one evening, which can happen anywhere)... More

We stayed here during a tour we had taken. Is easy access into Berlin by train, bus or by walking. The rooms were clean and there was a bar which served food as well. There were a few bars and restaurants in the area. The staff was accommodating and English was spoken.

Mid-level hotel. Not very far from the center of Berlin. There is a parking lot. Next to tram and metro stations. Nearby there are several restaurants. But in the summer in the intense heat of air conditioning did not work. And we chose a hotel with air conditioning. :(

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
