We found this hotel on lastminute.com as a 'Top Secret Hotel'. I was happy with the description and compared to the budget hotels this came out better value. It is well located from the Schonefeld airport, on the same line so easy to get to. The hotel is right by the Landsberger Allee so you can get everywhere in town... More

This is an average property located close to Landsberger Allee S-Bahn station. It is not, as far as I could make out, anywhere near Prenzlauer Berg. Trains run frequently from the S-Bahn station and the property is close to tramlines. (Note there is a lift at the S-Bahn station if you have heavy luggage - it is at the mid... More

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights whilst visiting our newborn grandson earlier this month. Despite us not speaking German the staff were extremely helpful. They were polite and patient. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and it was very quiet at night despite the hotel being full. The hotel is situated near to the station and to... More

We stayed in the Park Plaza last week for 3 nights. This is a good hotel for the price. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the furnishings were good. The location is great for a tourist visiting the city. The tram stop is basically across the road and the s bahn station is a 3 minute walk away. The... More

This hotel is a bit out of the way, there's a few restaurants nearby but little else. It has connections by tram and s-bahn, takes at least 20 minutes to get anywhere. The journey from Tegel is by bus then train, which is a bit of a pain. The rooms are light on facilities and pretty basic, especially the beds.... More

Room comfortable and clean, but not huge. Pillows and comforter very practical. T.V available for viewing and free wi-fi in the room. Kettle for tea and coffee in the room. Good location, but extremely slow wifi. Cold room, heating not working. Two elevators are not enough for this hotel which has a continuous flow of people going up and down. Sometimes it is faster to use the stairs then waiting for the elevator.

The room at the hotel was a good size with a comfortable bed, a good shower and clean towels. The small bathroom wasn't great but was adequate for a solo traveller. Free wifi with a good signal strength. Staff were friendly. Close to a tram stop and an S-bahn station.

It's a decent hotel, OK bar and restaurant but quite far from the downtown Berlin. I wish we stayed at the one on the Alexanderplatz instead. I chose this hotel as it was a little out of the city (just a couple of stops on the S Bahn) and I wasn't disappointed. Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
