I think they need to reconsider the rating for this hotel. While the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot the staff were appalling! I have never been treated with such disrespect in any hotel in my life. One star is too many for this property.

If you travel for leisure I suppose it's ok, although you have to consider its not right in Alexandre Platz as the name might suggest: it's a good 10-12 min walk to get there from TXL stop. If you travel for business you probably might want to consider other options: their wireless is really crap so if you need working... More

Things have improved since changing from the Agon, new double glazing, flat screen TV, basic tea/coffee facility. The lifts are dreadfully slow still. Breakfast buffet is good but not varied from day to day so gets a bit monotonous during a week stay. One of the staff was a bit off when I had a problem with the safe. Still,... More

Dear Kevvo13, Your feedback is very much appreciated and I can assure you that we use this information to do everything possible to create an enjoyable experience for each of our guests. 1// Expansive for the poor quality We had an old room, with twin beds for.... 100€ per night 2// Forget the breakfast : 18€ per person for such a place. Too expansive as well 3// The people working there are not very helpful : on the checkout day they refused to keep our luggages because the luggage room was fool... More

Clean, slightly dated hotel. Room were large, as was the bathroom. Location was ideal, just a few mins walk from Alexanderplatz. Reception staff were pleasant, and there was a lock up for bags for day of arrival/departure which was brilliant!

Thank you for your feedback. From the guests relatively unnoticed, we started with the gradual renovation of the hotel. The facade blends into the cityscape of Berlin Mitte and can not at this time unfortunately be changed. Best regards from Berlin, Steffen Hacker - Front Office Manager More

We got a comfortable room with a balcony. It was clean and spacious. There where noice from the traffic on the main street in front of the hotel (you can't use the balcony). The breakfast restaurant was very fresh with a good variety. The only thing we didn'nt like was the elevators. Prepare yourselve for long time for waiting or... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
