this modern hotel is percfect to visit most of Berlin's sites. Comfortable, quiet, well equipped and really clean room, fantastic shower. Staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast's choice is really rich and you can have it sitting at this long, fantastic table (you can see in the pictures). It definetly deserves the choice.

What a great find, lovely hotel just a short walk away from the underground and well placed for all of the sights Berlin offers. Good clean room and very helpful staff, buffet breakfast was great to get you started in the morning. If you have any drinks from the bar you will be expected to settle in cash but a... More

Great stay at 38. Modern and well equipped hotel. Rooms are ok , great shower rooms. I was at the back of the hotel and the room was quite. Breakfast was really good, plenty of choice. Location is excellent with some really great venues nearby If you have time, plenty of very individually styled bars and restaurants.

Very nice hotel friendly staff and in a great central location for most landmarks and shops/restaurants in Berlin. If you want to walk or get the public transport it is very easy to do both we walked almost every where. It was also one of very few hotels to offer breakfast included in the room price and was very good... More

Spent 4 nights here with my partner and daughter. Easy access from a Tegel and train station. Public transport excellent. Great for reaching 'sights'. Vibrant cultural area. Super clean, quiet hotel. Our room was a triple at the back and very quiet. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Great coffee. Fantastic shower. Would most definitely return.

We were a bit concerned by the name of the hotel, but once we arrived our opinion changed as we were encountered by a very trendy hotel, with pleasant staff, in a good location serviced by both metro and tram, great breakfast, good ambience for this city. As the hotel is located in Berlin's red light district suggest getting a... More

Hotel is well positioned for S Bahn and short walk to museums and unter den linden etcetera. Bed is comfortable, room faces rear of hotel so not on main drag. Don't know about late night events as we are not late night people. Handy for local restaurants would recommend a restaurant called Oranium. Breakfast was really good, very fresh, good... More

Hotel is well located close to S-bahn and U-bahn stations, also walking distance to many sights. There are lots of restaurants nearby. Our room was in 3rd floor, clean, modern and mostly quiet. The pillows are very flat, we asked second pillows when arrived but didn't get them for first night, though next day they were waiting us in the... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
