The location is very good (really close to Hauptbahnhof). The room was really nice indeed. The outer walls are made of glass and the furnishings are all new. Also, the bathroom is quite large and new on the inside. The price is not the lowest but it's well worth the average price. Conditions are very good.

Stayed here with a friend as part of a visit to Berlin for 2 nights and was very pleased. We had rooms on the top floor and yes although a little noisy due to the traffic outside (but then again you are in a city!) the rooms were clean, comfortable and had a lovely bathroom which included an amazing walk... The organisation I was visiting booked a room for me in that hotel. When I got there at night, they told me that they didn't have my booking and that the hotel was fully booked and there were no rooms available. Apparently, I was supposed to let them know in advance if I was going to arrive after 6pm. To... More

One night stay room superior sixth floor. Room is small but very efficiently organised. Location is very convenient. But the soundproofing is poor and the hotel located at the corner of two busy streets, so the room was quite noisy. We did not breakfast in the hotel. Wifi so slow that almost non existent (why is the wifi is so... More

Good choice and good value for money. It's conveniently located not far from the main train station - that was our main requirement as we arrived very late and had to leave quite early as well, and it's a walkable distance. It was clean, comfortable, perfect for that one night. I'm not sure if there was wi-fi available in rooms... More

The Nordic hotel in Berlin is very central with a regular tram and underground system very close by. Shopping areas are close by. Local boat trips are available in town which takes you by monumental structures with an easy listening system. Hotel is spotless clean, room is generous in size and the staff are very friendly.

+ good location (close to U-Bahn, Tram, mainstation) + comparibly reasonable prices - WLAN very poor in some rooms - "AirCon" provides only ventilation but no cooling. Rooms face either to the street or to the east. Consequently it's very warm in the morning (summertime) - not very well maintained (blocked drains)

Stayed here for 2 nights in May as I was attending a conference over the road (so location was amazing!). It felt a bit far away from the main parts of Berlin (but I guess a 30 minute walk to Alexandraplatz is not bad!). The room was fine for one person, bathroom clean and everything worked fine. I do like... More

This hotel was in a really great location: within walking distance of central Berlin as well as the main train station plus several very good restaurants. The rooms are small although clean. However, two nights out of our four night stay, my husband and I were awoken at 2:30 am by a fire alarm because there was a bit of... More

The worst hotel I have ever been to. For two nights in a row we were woken up by fire alarm (5:30 and 2:30 AM) - activated by incompetent staff, who was not even able to switch it off. Both of the nights we had to climb stairs 5 floors to the lobby and back just to hear "You should... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
