+ good location (close to U-Bahn, Tram, mainstation) + comparibly reasonable prices - WLAN very poor in some rooms - "AirCon" provides only ventilation but no cooling. Rooms face either to the street or to the east. Consequently it's very warm in the morning (summertime) - not very well maintained (blocked drains)

Stayed here for 2 nights in May as I was attending a conference over the road (so location was amazing!). It felt a bit far away from the main parts of Berlin (but I guess a 30 minute walk to Alexandraplatz is not bad!). The room was fine for one person, bathroom clean and everything worked fine. I do like... More

This hotel was in a really great location: within walking distance of central Berlin as well as the main train station plus several very good restaurants. The rooms are small although clean. However, two nights out of our four night stay, my husband and I were awoken at 2:30 am by a fire alarm because there was a bit of... More

The worst hotel I have ever been to. For two nights in a row we were woken up by fire alarm (5:30 and 2:30 AM) - activated by incompetent staff, who was not even able to switch it off. Both of the nights we had to climb stairs 5 floors to the lobby and back just to hear "You should... More

The worst hotel in the world ... I travel a lot, but I've never seen that! Staff absolutely unhelpful, ignoring guests and their wishes and treats them very arrogant - for example Anja Smola and Pioch... Room was dirty, very small, and even if you book room comfort. NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! Web hotel wifi is written, but... More

Well-located around 10 minutes walk from the main train station and 15 minutes to the main action, you won't really need to use public transport or taxis. The staff were really helpful and welcoming. The room was small but clean and with decent tea-coffee facilities. At a 75 euro price-tag, it's a reasonable city-centre option and I'd certainly stay here... More

This is basic for a four star hotel. The rooms are average at best- stained walls. You do get facilities such as a TV, Wifi, hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee and the room was very clean however one female staff member in particular was very rude and grumpy throughout. The location is the best part about this hotel as you... More

The room was clean, however, in need of upgrading. There was no air circulation and when we tried to open the window, realized that the window was completely off the hinges. The sliding door to the bathroom also did not close completely which led to some frustration when needing to use the toilet. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful,... More

Spent two nights there and all was great. Small but nice room, clean and with free wifi. Staff even during night was very helpful and accommodating. Location is not the best but very close to U Bahn station. Definitely recommend and will come back for sure.

This could be a really good hotel if it wasn't for the management. The location is good and my room was clean and while only small was quite adequate, though the wifi speed is very slow. However, when I arrived I was told I would have to go to another hotel miles away. I was told there was a 'system'... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
