Good hostel located a couple of minutes walk away from the Berlin radio tower and aleksanderplatz! The hostel also offers WiFi(must pay every 24 hours), a cheap bar & decent food! Rooms were nice sized, but as far as 8 persons bedrooms can go, especially in the middle of June, rooms could be better equipped with air conditioning!!

The images of the hostel online look superb. The location online was superb. Unfortunately only the location description online was correct. The hostel looks nothing like the images shown. The images shown show a nice boutique hotel, this is not the case. Whilst clean, the corridor smelled due to water leaking out of the shared shower, there was also only... More

If you're looking for central then this is a great hostel for Berlin City Centre. It is only a few minutes walk from Alexander Platz. The Rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The toilets and showers were clean and modern. There is no kitchen in the hostel but there is a great common room for socialising... More

The hostel is clean and well maintained about a five minute walk from Alexanderplatz train station. The staff were friendly and spoke good English and there is a nice bar/lounge on the sixth floor which is a cheap and relaxed way to start a night out. However, the majority of guests were school students between 12-14 as well as some... More

Absolutely loved Pangea People, one of my favourite places that I stayed on my interrailing trip. Our room was amazing and very comfortable. Staff were very helpful also. The location was perfect for us and quite close to everywhere we needed to go. Would definitely book here again.

Great location, comfortable beds and the rooms are set out nicely with lots of personal space between beds. The showers are shocking, water goes everywhere and you will inevitably leave a big puddle after you've finished. The wi-fi is pretty patchy, which was annoying since you had to pay extra for it each day, and the breakfast (which is 6... More

Great place and value for money was fantastic. Staff very friendly and helpful, would highly recommend group bookings. The beer hall just a 5 min walk away too which is an added bonus! Would recommend that you research the area/city well before coming as Berlin is very spread out in terms of where to go on a night out but... More

The location's a walkable distance from the train station and the best parts of Mitte. Staff were polite; rooms, bathrooms and toilets are decent. Wifi isn't free, and it can get pretty slow during the day. Noise/music from the lounge at the 6th floor can get pretty loud, especially if you're one floor below. If you're a light sleeper, get... Fantastic location, only a quick walk from Alexanderplatz train station and key sites like Museum Island. Good quality breakfast and bar. Food is really tasty and just what you need after sightseeing. The staff have all the discount cards you need too which is really helpful. Staff are very friendly and the rates are great value.

One of the best hostels that i've ever been. Really nice staff, a grey breakfast only for 6€ and you can eat everything you can, toastes, juice, milk, different kinds of smoked meat, yogurt, coffe, fruit, bread, cereals, eggs, everything that you want. The rooms are furnished with modern style, a lots of space and confortable beds. Bathrooms are really... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
