Very nice place with a friendly staff and with an awesome location in Alexanderplatz, it is very close to the public transports. Also the beds are big and the hostel is very clean. There are lockers in the room (this is very positive) and you don`t have to pay for the bed clothes.

This place is called a 'hostel AND hotel'. Struggling to see where the hotel aspect comes in. We booked a private room thinking we would get our own bathroom but no we had to use communal ones. Rude and noisy people always in the hallway ... Unpleasant.

Stayed for a weekend for a stag du. Few other groups on stags too. Noise levels when returning were minimal andthere was no noise in the mornings. Hallways, toilets and showers were always kept clean and cleaned several times a day. Bar was a good price for drinks, the breakfast was good value but its a cold continental breakfast not... More

Very good hostel, very clean, friendly but casual staff, and very friendly atmosphere, had a good time socializing with fellow travelers in the common room and at the bar. The hostel is located in a very central area about 7 minutes walking from the underground stations: U 2: Rosa Luxembourg, and U2: Alexanderplatz. Excellent place to stay if planning on... More

We stayed one night in a quadruple private room on the 6 floor. Room was clean and spacious. Communal showers and toilets were located along the hall. These facilities were modern and clean. The bar was at end of the hall, music played until just after 12 and didn't affect sleep. We didn't take breakfast or eat bar food as... More

Close to Alexanderplatz, from where you can go "everywhere", and close to the most cozy area, Prenzlauer Berg. Nice atmosfere in the reception, as well as at the bar on 6th. We stayed a bit too far from the toilets.

Pangea Hostel is located very near to Alexanderplatz, from which you can go everything by S or U-bahn. Rooms are clean, but quite empty - there are only beds, mirror and wardrobe, there is no kettle etc. Everything to eat and drink you can find in restaurant. Breakfast are with enough amount of food, fresh bread, meat, cheese and coffe... More

I love this hostel so much. I actually stayed here during 12th June 2014 - 14th June 2014 under reservation name of Mohamad Masood. This is the first hostel that I stayed alone. I got a room for 8 people with double decker bed in the third floor. 1) This location of this hostel is just perfect. the instruction given... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
