We stayed here for two nights, and the hotel isn't a 5 star hotel for no reason! The location of the hotel was good, not far from the zoo, restaurants and shopping, but a little further from Berlin centrum. You're able to walk, take a cab, the subway or the bus. We experienced good service from the staff as well.... More

Had an extended stay here to explore Berlin for first time. Great location for Zoo, aquarium, shopping but a tube or bus ride to the attractions in centre. There is an odd smell in the lobby which I couldn't quite place. Rooms are great although I'd have liked fresh air. They have requests on windows to keep them closed. Staff... More

Dear TrevorB, Thank you for staying with us and for reviewing our hotel. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed our varied breakfast buffet and rooms. Due to safety regulations all windows can only be tilted. But on demand they can be completely opened by our housekeeping team as well. I am sorry that your recent spa experience has... More

My partner and I recently spent 5 nights at the Intercontinental Berlin and were very disappointed with how this property has declined in recent years. This used to be one of my favorite hotels in the Germany, if not Europe...it had a great 'Wellness Lounge', with great saunas and pool, and outstanding staff. Unfortunately, the staff isn't so outstanding, the... More

Dear beechmi, Thank you for your honest feedback following your experience at the InterContinental Berlin. I am sincerely sorry that we did not meet your expectations during your recent stay, neither with our service quality nor with our rooms and furnishing. First of all I sincerely apologize for the service you received which does not comply with our standards. Nevertheless,... More

i've been to Intercontinental Berlin many times for the last few years and never wrote a review! It's time to change that. Often I think about going to different hotels in Berlin, because I visit a lot. But I recently realized that there's nothing better than knowing you are going to a comfortable place where you know you will be... More

This hotel smelled older when you walked in, but once in elevator no smell at all. The rooms are large and spacious. The hotel is very close to the Zoo, and is walking distance to Kauhof De westens (largest department store in Germany). Short taxi ride away from all the other major Berlin attractions. It had the biggest luxury for... More

Dear Kevin L, Thank you for staying at the InterContinental Berlin and your review. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay and especially the sleep quality. Although the hotel was opened in 1958 the facility was refurbished several times. Most recently we renovated our West wing rooms and conference floor in 2010 and 2012. Next to the... More

I met my wife in Berlin at the tail end of her business trip. After a long, somewhat troublesome voyage, it was a welcome surprise to be greeted by the lovely Intercontinental Berlin. Front desk staff went the extra mile and were very friendly. Location of the hotel is fantastic, walking distance to great sights. Also close to S-bahn, U-Bahn,... More

My wife and I stayed here the first weekend of June, from Thursday till Monday. After booking our room through www.hotels.com, we were offered to upgrade our room to the executive floor, which was 45 Euros extra per person/night. That included free minibar, and access to the bar and lounge on the executive floor, where free drinks and buffet was... More

The real pluses of the Berlin Intercontinental are the high quality rooms, certainly for Ambassador members anyway , and it's location for getting around the city. We nearly always used the 200 bus in and out of the main tourist district, and the stops both ways are almost directly outside. The hotel. The downstairs reception, bar, restaurant area is huge...
