This guest house is set in an old building but the rooms are smart, tasteful and very clean. Breakfast, and the friendliness of the staff is terrific. I prefer boutique accommodation places rather than large impersonal hotels and this one was perfect. A 4 minute walk to bus and train stops. Perfect!

Loved our stay here, the staff were so helpful, and their Eglish was good, they even helped my partner with his German. Fantastic buffet breakfasts, clean spacious rooms in an old building with high ceilings. Close to railway station so very convenient. Only quibble for me was the bed and pillows were very firm, but got used to it after... More

This is a very simple hotel but able to attend all your needs if you are nit expecting any luxury: good location, friendly staff, spacious room and pretty cheap breakfast. My only complaint is related to quality of sleep: pillows were bad; there were no blackout curtains on the windows; and it is impossible to wake up late due to... More

The hotel is located in a quiet residential street, only minutes from a very useful s-bahn station. But this does come at a cost. One has to take the s-bahn to almost anywhere, which is not a major deal really. But there is only one pub/restaurant close. Not a problem if you like to eat before returning, but if you... More

This is a delightful hotel, situated in the Tiergarten district, close to the canal and not far from public transport. The public rooms are very stylishly furnished, complementing the original Art Nouveau architecture and design details. Bedrooms are comfortable, clean and fresh-looking. Staff speak superb English and are extremely helpful. It's a hotel I keep returning to

This is a very nice hotel, conveniently located for public transport, though perhaps with a paucity of restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The hotel is located at the end of a street with no through traffic, so was very quiet, both during the day and at night. We chose a medium sized room, which was in fact quite large. The... More

I spent three nights in Hotel Hansablick in early May and want to recommend the hotel to others. It is clean, quiet, and conveniently located near a subway stop. The staff were just fantastic -- helpful with advice and responsive to requests. (The wifi in my room worked intermittently, and the staff were great about troubleshooting.) I'd definitely stay there... More

This hotel is located on several floors of an old residential building. 24 hr desk, elevator, fabulous breakfast and service, and a quiet but central location. If you enjoy staying in an old building, tall ceilings and stucco decor, you may love this place. Stroll out in the morning or evening for a walk along the river. Great location. The... More

Great location near the western end of Tiergarten and only a very short walk through quiet neighbourhood to the station. €69 per night is very reasonable for a hotel in Berlin. Staff are most helpful. Room was very clean. Breakfast @ €6.50 very good (including hot food, not always available in continental hotels). Don't be put off by the shabby... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
