My partner and I stayed here at the start of December for the Christmas markets. The hotel itself was lovely, very quirky interior and the entrance through the courtyard was really grand. Service was superb, we got engaged on our trip and the hotel gave us a free bottle of champagne and some roses. Breakfast was amazing, with so much... More

Though not "fancy," the Bleibtreu is very presentable and delivers tremendous value. My traveling companion and I both had small rooms (I suspect they're all small) that were well appointed, comfortable and clean. Everything worked as it should have. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, the front desk staff especially. Everything we needed, from more pillows, to dinner reservations,... More

The decor of the hotel is a bit disappointing as it's marketed as a boutique hotel yet the rooms are furnished like a travel Inn. Lots of yellow laminated furniture. The service however was very good and the breakfast was amazing. A large selection of meats, fish, pastries bread and cereals. One point to note is that it's quite hard... More

We stayed in August 2014. Even before checking in staff communication by email was warm - terrific. It made us look forward to staying there. Rooms are a little small which one can expect from a business hotel although My room had a bay window which was a bonus. The hotel's central location made exploring Berlin that much easier. Do... Great location, very close to Ku'Damm... We'll communicated neighborhood close to U-Bahn and S-Bahn. Lots of options for having dinner close to the hotel. The rooms are nice and despite there's a construction very close it's not that noisy. Our room had a nice balcony, we enjoy the decoration that is mostly minimalistic. Staff was nice and very helpful. Fanny... More

We just spent two nights at this hotel, which we selected primarily for its location. It is in the Kurfurstendamm (or Ku'damm) neighborhood of Berlin, a high end shopping area with many good restaurants. Overall, our hotel experience was OK, owing mainly to the excellent rate we obtained. The hotel has no A/C, no parking for a vehicle, very small... More

The hotel, close to the popular KuDamm, is situated in a relatively quite side road, 1 minute away from KuDamm. It is therefore suitable for shopping, close to all high fashion brand stores. The KaDeWe is a 20 minute walk if you are a quick walker. There are several restaurants. However for sightseeing, it is a further away from the... More

We stayed here in March 2014. The location was ok, but walking to the subway took atleast 10 minutes. Nice, safe and quiet neigbourhood. The rooms where clean and minimalistic. The staff was helpful and knowldgeable. The breakfast was included in our room rate, and we found it very good and with reasonable variety. I would stay there again.

I recently stayed here for a night before an interview in Berlin. Located on the 'posh' part of the Kurfuerstendamm, the hotel has somehow managed to stave off a snobby vibe to keep a very familiar and friendly feel. The check-in process was very good and the room itself was functional and comfortable, though if you're looking for opulent luxury,... More

Hotel is well situated 1/2 block of Kurfurstendam with easy walk to many attractions and shopping. Hotel has somewhat of a minimalist contemporary feel and is reasonably comfortable with so-so room size, typical of larger cities. We were there in May 2014 and there were several quite warm days. Surprisingly there is NO air conditioning and the rooms were very... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
