We slept in this Hostel 3 times and I like it. Small rooms designed as "early Ikea and late communism":-D Nice location - not far from heart of a City, but in quiet zone;-) And so perfect price! Cons: shared bathroom&toilet (but it is hostel!), no wash-basin in a room. Stuff is not good in english. Public transport does not... More

Travelers are raving about these Berlin hotels

Room itself was quite nice, but smelled freshly painted (sucked). The bathroom was pretty ok but very dirty (sucked). There was no nice atmosphere or common room (sucked). This is not a "hostel" in such a way you would expect it to be. But it's cheap to stay and the location is pretty central, except the 20mins walk to the... More

I have slept here for two nights in February 2014, nice and clean place with calm nights. The peninsual "Stralau" is interesting place in Berlin; just the public traffic at night isn´t too comfortable.

I have so many bad things to say im going to do it in bullet points... -The staff were ignorant and had no respect for any people staying there -Common room (with sofa's, tv, foozeball) was closed... Evo Hostel is really really rubbish. Everything about it is rubbish. It is definitely the most rubbish place I've ever stayed. I would thoroughly recommend this hostel to anyone who does not like staying in places that are good.

This place sucks. It feels like one is staying in prison. You can hear every little noise from the hallway, which sucks when pleople are slamming the bathroom doors every 5 minutes. The "staff" is there for maybe 3 hours during the day and then they're gone, leaving the place open and unmanned most of the day. The "breakfast" room... More

I paid cheap and didn't expect much, but that was seriously less than anything! 1 disappearing staff, who don't speak English (and don't like to speak at all), terrible toilets from other, old times, strange bed stuff politic (we should pay for this, as a surprise). i stayed 2 nights, and that was absolutely maximum (2-nd night was no hot... Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
