Hi, While the apartment space was OK, I found that it had severe problems with water mixing in bath area which made very difficult and most of us got cold. The ventilation in main bathroom is not proper. the main oven has some short circuit and does not work. Apart from this, the people at reception are unfortunately very unfriendly.... More

The apartment is really average. The equipment could be better, microwave didn't work (or maybe the socket) and the wi-fi signal was very poor. Also the bathroom needs some thorough cleaning or maybe rather renovation. The biggest advantage was the location and this was what we were looking for. I travelled with my friends and we simply needed a place... More

OK - central location - nice terasse, but poor equipment and furniture missing. Water could not run out of the bathtub in bathroom. It all seemed a Little tired and worn out! Frostroom in refrigerator defect.

We were expecting a three bedroom apartment, as stated in the confirmation email. However, there where only two rooms in the apartment we stayed in. Although we managed with the smaller apartment, the next issue was the apartment's cleanliness, either the apartment had not been cleaned or was done so in a hurry, and had not been throughly cleaned in... Good location but grungy, dirty and the photos deceive. The coffee maker didn't really work, there was no microwave and the bathroom is disgusting with a broken window (no ventilation) and a tiling job done by a 5 year old. The toilet was the strangest thing I have seen and needs replacement. There is no a/c (as stated) BUT there... More

Even though our apartment wasn't broken into, our neighbour's door had been clearly forced which immediately made my friends and I feel insecure. I hadn't read any of the reviews on these apartments before leaving, but I wouldn't stay there again. The apartment itself was ok, two rooms, one main room with a king.sized bed and a sofa, another with... More

Just got back from a stag do at this place, looks very secure big iron gate on the front that needs a key and secure door that also needs a key before even getting to the room. Door locks behind you and there is no way into the apartment. We left our apartment on the 3rd floor and went out... More

Don't waste your time. I stayed with a group of friends and firstly the reception/front of house is a liquor shop, no real reception. Secondly like others before me on our second day in Berlin our apartment was broken into and our belongings ransacked, they took cash and left other valuable items, clearly by people who had done it before... DO NOT STAY HERE! Just as mentioned by previous guests. Our apartment was broken into while we were out seeing the sights of Berlin. Apartment seems secure as there is a security door into apartment block as well as door to apartment. However all our belongings were gone through, thrown across the floor and money stolen. There was no sign... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
