Great hotel, nice staff, excellent location. Good value. We stayed for three nights from 31st Jan 2016 on a first time visit to Berlin. Short walk from train station and Alexander Platz. The bar area in the hotel is very small but otherwise everything was perfect.

Hotel staff were very pleasant, food was very nice. The staff were very good in getting my crippled mother an extra kettle! My only issue was that door did not close properly occasionally and it was difficult to tell if the room was locked and secured. Other than that a wonderful stay. Very much recommended!

The room was very spacious, it was a very large and comfortable room. The german way seems to have everything piping hot, even on the underground. Bed was comfy, staff attentive and Breakfast had a great choice of things to try. We stayed here 3 evenings between Christmas and New Year and really enjoyed this hotel as a good base... More

I had stayed in this hotel at the first week of September 2015 and had the worst experience of my life. We had left a part of our money and jewelry in the locked suitcase inside the hotel room and when we returned from our sightseen those items had been stolen. Those items have only been left in the suitcase... More

We booked here for a 3 day stay over New Year with some friends. It’s around 40 euros in a taxi from the airport and the location is excellent – a 5 minute walk from the TV Tower and Alexanderplatz station. We had room 312 which is on a corner overlooking a roof terrace. Overall it was a decent stay... More

Can't fault the hotel in anyway. It was very clean and modern, the location was perfect for what we wanted and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The only thing I would say is tea making facilities in the room would be useful but obviously that is a minor point.

Arrived for the Christmas markets and to sightsee. The location of the hotel is good for both We had 2 rooms for us and our adult children - ours was not ready when we arrived which was expected and our children's room smelled of sewage - their room was changed. When changing I asked that, as our room was on... More

The Alexander Plaza was a perfect choice for our 3 day Christmas City break. Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was clean and stylish and our room was lovely. I found nothing negative about this hotel at all. The location is central to most of the sights and attractions in Berlin. We had a great visit and the gentleman on... More

Stayed here for 4 nights, good location to visit Museum Island, Gendarmenmarkt. Hotel very clean, staff helpful. Fairly basic amenities, but comfortable. Walked to Brandenburg gate, close to trains & buses to explore Berlin.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
