I really enjoyed my stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cute and full of pleasant items. The water in the shower was hot enough and the mini-bar was amusing. I did have to keep the blinds drawn to avoid giving the offices across the street a show!

Everything was perfect ! We liked our large and comfortable room very much. But it was a little bit boring to reconnect the WiFi every day. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect, very convenient for shopping !

The Hotel Alexander Plaza was a very good choice for my son and I on a recent visit to Berlin. Having arrived on a fairly early flight from the UK, we were allowed into our room some 3 hours prior to the normal 3pm check-in time. This allowed us to freshen up prior to starting our sightseeing tour. The room... More

My boyfriend & I enjoyed a 5 night stay at the Alexander Plaza Hotel, Berlin & I can honestly say it is one of the best hotels we have stayed in for a city break. The hotel is located a stones throw away from the main Alexanderplatz, museum island & the Berliner Dome, giving it a good central location &... More

At the Alexander Plaza the have the most welcoming and helpfull staff, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was more than appropriate start for a day of sightseeing in the city. The only hiccup was the wireless internet acces, that didn't always work sufficiently.

Super service from start to finish. Executive double room lovely and spacious. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities but being forewarned we took our travel kettle and were fine. Breakfast more than adequate for the day ahead. Staff all friendly and helpful. Hotel excellent position for transport links. More extensive bar offerings would have been good. Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
