My husband and I have just spent a 3 night stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location about 8 minute walk from the train station. It is across the road from the popular Hackescher Markt - this is a fabulous square of restaurants which is fab on an evening. Don't miss this, turn left out of... More

We stayed in this hotel for a long weekend from 25th June till 29th June 2015 and we loved the hotel. Very clean and very good location. It is located in the former Eastern part but the proximity to all the museums and Hackescher Markt with bars and restaurants was a bonus. If we go back this would be the... More

This hotel is conveniently located close to Museum island and to Alexander Square. There is a bus stop just at the end of the street, from which one can take buses to other parts of the city and to the airport. Rooms were clean and staff were helpful. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

A location is really perfect! Close to the Museums Island, Berliner Dom and Unter den Linden Street. But the good location is not the only thing you can expect from four stars hotel in Berlin. The room was big and clean, but smelled with cigarettes. It was irritating, not only because I hate cigarettes, but because of staff who were... More

This hotel is in the East Berlin section, and is not far from the main attractions. In fact, it's 5 mins walking to the TV Tower. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was happy to answer any of our questions. There are many local patio restaurants near by.

Frm The hotel you can easily access to many historical places by train station such as wall of berlin and just few minutes to the cafes & restaurants specially Nordsea for sea foods. The hotel itself has no special service. Staff were helpful if you asked them show the ways to visiting places

The Alexander Plaza's big advantage is its terrific location just a couple of blocks east of Museum Island and directly (one-half block) below the Hackescher Markt S- and U-Bahn stop. (Note that despite its name, it is one stop away from the Alexanderplatz transit hub.) While the hotel is fine at present, with a little bit of effort, it could... More

We stayed here at Christmas time as Berlin 1st timers. The hotel was very well placed to get around. We found it very easy. Our room was nice and the beds the most comfortable I've experienced in a hotel. We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment on that. Overall, it was more than adequate as a base to... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
