Great location , helpful staff, good breakfast. Wished there was coffe/tea making facilities in the room. Stayed in a deluxe room which was very spacious( don't know how big the other ones are ) and clean. Great for a city break!

Super service from start to finish. Executive double room lovely and spacious. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities but being forewarned we took our travel kettle and were fine. Breakfast more than adequate for the day ahead. Staff all friendly and helpful. Hotel excellent position for transport links. More extensive bar offerings would have been good. Would definitely recommend this... More

Room was small and therefore every time you entered the bathroom the door would only half open because the bed was in the way. No coffee or tea making facilities. Breakfast was a nightmare and only tried it once .We arrived at about 09:15 and were unable to find a clean table as all previous occupants used crockery had not... More

Well appointed rooms with all the facilities you'd expect. Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't have any meals in the hotel, but the restaurant area did look pleasant enough. The location is wonderful. There are plenty of super restaurants nearby and it's close to buses, trains and trams. Perfect.

Our family stayed at the Alexander Plaza in Berlin for a three night stay and occupied three rooms. This hotel is superb value for money and is located in a wonderful location, near to restaurants and bars the tower and a lovely Christmas Market. The rooms were warm, roomy, bright and exceptionally clean with very comfy beds, pillows were a... More

I stayed here at the beginning of December with a friend.we were visiting the Christmas markets in Berlin. The hotel is central to lots of attractions, restaurants, shops, cafés and bars. It was very clean and the room provided what it needed too..the heating worked well and there always seemed to be hot water which to us(visiting in a very cold season) was... More

A 3 day stay in December -in a very clean, very comfortable room. Staff were extremely helpful and breakfast was reliably good. Location is very central, and transport to and from Tegel airport was simple - the TXL bus stopped literally at the end of the street. The only slight moan would be that our room (in the eaves) was... More

We stayed there as a couple in March. We chose a Business Room which was light and modern. Our room was facing to the interior of the hotel, with a view over the dining area. The reception staff were attentive. The air conditioning was broken in our room but to be fair, we did't actually mention it to the reception... More

We stayed here as we thought the price was very reasonable and it seemed to be in a great location. The hotel is a stones throw from the Hackershemarkt s barn station - so it was a simple and cheap journey from schoenefeld airport. The staff spoke English very well and the hotel was warm and welcoming. The rooms were... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
