Great hotel in a great location. I just had to look twice, so the main entrance is not in Friedrichstrasse but in a small street between the train station and the Block house restaurant. I had a spacious room on the 5th floor. Modern, clean and well insulated. I will definitely go back to this hotel in my next trip... More

What a wonderful and perfect 5* hotel in the heart of Berlin. Amazing hotel, clean, staff were brilliant, bed was comfortable, bathroom was lovely, breakfast buffet was delicious and location was perfect! I got a direct train from Schönefeld Airport to Friedrichstrasse Station for only €2.70 and the hotel was literally outside. The staff spoke brilliant English and were very... More

I stayed in this hotel in September 2014 for 10 days in a vacation. The location of this hotel is excellent. You are in the middle of everything, restaurants, shopping, historic areas, hotels ... etc. The most memorable thing is the staff of the hotel .. they were extremely helpful and willing to help to make our stay in the... I booked this as a get away for my spouse and we were pleasantly surprised. It was a 3 night stay and everything was beyond our expectations. If I said anything negative it would be the bar staff on duty Sun 15 March 2015 was terrible! They ignored us and were short with us. The promoted a beer they didn't... More

I have spend 3 nights in this hotel and I would never come back again. What was suposed to be a relaxing citytrip became a very noisy, stressful hotel stay. Upon arrival we got a room on the 6th floor with a beautiful view, but from 5pm our neighbours above decided to refurbish their entire room and left us with... More

What a marvellous discovery in Berlin! This hotel was superb, the location was perfect for all major sites: Reichstag; Museum Island; Brandenburg Gate; Checkpoint Charlie and some wonderful shopping malls. Walking distance to most major sites sites and just 5 minutes from the major Bus, tram and U - Bahn routes. The staff were top class, so helpful, assisted with... More

Booked it for a special occasion (birthday surprise) and as the hotel was "fully booked" they gave us smoking room, instead of non-smoking which I had booked. The hotel didn't seem to be very crowded, so maybe they just didn't want to upgrade us. Well, we got welcome drinks as a compensation, but it definitely didn't cover it. Sore eyes,... More

Had a long week-end here 5th - 9th March. Chose the Eurostars having stayed in the Eurostar Marine Barcelona and was well pleased with it. The Reception staff were excellent and of great assistance to First Time visitors to Berlin. Good breakfast buffet. Room was well equipped with a large bathroom and walk-in shower. Large comfortable King-sized bed. Only disappointment... More

I stayed at Eurostars Berlin hotel last week during ITB and had an excellent stay. The room was very comfortable, on 7th floor and facing outside. You do hear the train coming past but it is a sound in the background. Excellent team at the reception who I had interaction with a number of times and everyone I dealt with... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
