The hostel was OK. Cheap and close to the city center. But i didn't like a few think. There weren't proper pillows and they charge us councils city tax ( when you book said " all tax included) we ask for the invoice but they told me that I must send a mail to the owner. No credit card accept.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights this end of March. First impression was strange - Dortmunder street flat (actually that is the right location) has a long corridor looking like an old "commun flat" we had in Russia. But the room was very nice, bad was big and comfortable, view from the window directly to the crossroads of quite streets... More

I stayed in this "hostel" for 4 nights. I reckon I was lucky because the hostel, which has the capacity for over 15 people has the following bad bits: - There are no lockers or security. Room doors are not closed on a key at any time. - Theres no storage space for your things for your bed. - There... More

This is such a nice spot! I really had a great time there! It just feels like a super tidy students house, with nice roommates whom you can hang out with, and exchange stories with, and talk about Berlin hot-spots. So a nice place to get to know open minded people. The interior has a cute randomness about it, with... More

I checked in with high expectations: it's a cosy little flat in a nice neighbourhood that's been turned into a hostel. The atmosphere seemed friendly and laid-back, an most of the reviews were good, so I was really excited about chilling out here for a few days. Then on my first night I was bitten all over the face, neck,... More

Stayed here for 3 nights during an interrailing trip and it was awesome. The place was nice, the location was great (just a 5 min walk to nearest u-bahn station), and the people were friendly! Just one downside, it could have done with another bathroom. Would stay again :)

We arrived at Zwingli Strasse and were told we were getting a room at Dortmunder Strasse. We were asked to pay for the week when we had not even seen the room. So we insisted to see the room. We walked to the other hostel and viewed the room which was nice. We were shown the kitchen and were told... More

Not your conventional hostel -- feels like living in a share house only much cleaner! The staff are super friendly and approachable, and give you and and all info you need for your stay in Berlin. The maps and tour pamphlets are particularly great, and it's easy to get to attractions by the metro, though if you're heading to Hauptbahnhof... More

Paula and the team are so helpful. The place my friend and I stayed in was only new, and still undergoing work, and I didnt mind helping out when needed. I enjoyed that. Paula and the team would offer advise as to where to go and where to eat that was good value and service. It is located in a... More

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
