On arrival we were told there were no standard rooms left and had been upgraded, our room was below standard with stains on the carpets and the curtains. There was a bar that was not manned, and on our last night was actually closed, and when it was open you could only have beer, wine or soft drinks, I would... More

We got a great deal for this hotel which included breakfast. On arrival we were told our room had been upgraded for no extra charge as there were no standard rooms left. Our room was lovely and spacious, modern and very quiet. There was a large selection of hot and cold foods at breakfast and a big pot of coffee... More

This hotel was terrible. The rooms were old and poor and very ugly, not modern. The air conditioner wasnt working so it was very cold at night, we had to sleep with a few layers of clothing on. The location is nice but you better stay in the Mitte area. The hotel doesn't have organize lobby and the service was... More

This hotel was very easy to find and very good price. The staff were very helpful with tourist information. Room was very basic and slightly out dated however this had no influence on our stay. Breakfast facilities were also good. Would recommend to anyone looking to spend a few days in Berlin

We picked this hotel for the location. It is located between Kurfürstendamm and the Zoologischer Garten station so you have several U-Bahn, S-Bahn, RB, and RE lines as well as the TXL bus to Tegel airport within two blocks from the Hotel. Also many sights, shops and restaurants are within walking distance. The room we had was very large and... More

Azimut is an unique hotel with great wall paintings on all walls and ceilings in most common rooms and corridors. There are also great wood carvings here and there. The paintings seems to be from around 1940 and 1950. This hotel is a sightseeing target in it self! The staff is very nice and helpful. The hotel is centrally placed... More

Really cheap price and very nice place. Its an old build (quite charming place). Nice breakfast, clean room. Next time in Berlin I ll stay there. Really nice place (special because the Christmas Market was a 2 min walking from the hotel).

We stayed over Christmas for 7 days and were given a room on the 4th floor. The room was nice and spacious and felt quite luxurious. Upon arrival we didn't receive a warm welcome and didn't even get a 'hello' so if you're looking for niceties you probably won't find them here! The shower was awkward, in the middle of... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
