We spent four nights at the Azimut hotel. The location is awesome: it was only 3-5 minutes walk from the Zoologischer Garten busstop and the bus number 109 stopped almost infront of the hotel's entrance. The main street of Kurfürstendamm is just behind the corner. The hotel wasn't that expensive so we didn't expect much. Although the receptionist wasn't too... More

Everything started with complete devastation by staff handing us a room (#102) which was below all standards. No refrigerator which we had paid for. Carpet had holes everywhere, it was generally dirty and i believe it was mold that i saw in the areas near of wall, so it was also a health hazard. Room like this should not be... More

A friend traveling with me to Berlin was suggested this hotel, so I decided to tag along. Bad idea. I booked online and made the same mistake we all do when booking a not-too-expensive hotel: I believed in the photographs. Truth is: The hotel has no major services to offer. The guys are the front desk are grumpy 24/7 and... More

The location is the best! You cannot get a better location with the same price. The room was big and clean. I am happy with my stay in total. There is a shawarma place right by the hotel that has the best donair kabob eveeeerrrr! Try it even if you didn't end up booking this hotel.

Hotel has a great location. Bit noisy as it's on a main Street, but central to all key sight seeing Locations. The room was quite dated, high ceilings, old furniture, but very comfortable beds and good bathroom facilities, which to me is the most important feature. The free WiFi didn't work on my mobile, worked on my mum's, so maybe... More

We were un this hotel for 2 nights. Every thing were really very good. Nice and kind staff and reception. A very good location. Exactly near the train and bus station. Such close that you can get any where easy. The hotel and room were really clean. Room size was really good and big. We really like it.

The hotel is obviously an old one, although the rooms have new furnuture. The best thing about this hotel is location and breakfast. I didn't like the bathroom - it is very small and obviously needs renovation. I would recommend it for small trips 2-3 days maximum. Free wifi is also a plus.

Near to the tube, overground, bus and tram stops this hotel is ideally situated for exploring Berlin. It is on the corner of one of the most prestigious shopping streets. We paid for a superior room which was spacious and had a bath and shower and his and hers basins. Breakfasts are wonderful with lots of choice, there was a... More

Centrally located, bus stop from Tegel just outside and metro station almost as close. Breakfast was good, also for not meat eaters. Room 107 was really great. Spacious living room and separate bedroom. Bathroom had a tub that was long enough for even a grown male to use. There was no noise during night even though the room was on... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
