Stayed here in December 2014 having previously stayed at the Ibis Styles round the corner. This one is ok - basic, bit gloomy, nothing really exciting in the rooms nor the bar area. Didn't take breakfast there - was cheaper to dine out. But it was clean and quiet - which is all that was needed

We spent 6 nights at Ibis Berlin Mitte. The room was clean and perfect for what we needed. The bathroom was clean but there was a strange smell and it was very small. The location is perfect, within 5 minutes walking from Alexanderplatz with good public transport connection. The people at the reception desk did not really make an effort... More

My daughter, studying in Germany, met me in Berlin for a short break, Thursday to Sunday. The hotel is well priced and located, being just ten minutes walk from Alexander Platz. There is easy access to Berlin's excellent public transport network, by way of a choice of tram stops very close by (and the many travel options from A Platz).... More

Recommended great location for tram bus and underground. All the staff were very friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble. We were given a room with a view facing the TV tower. Breakfasts were plentiful and constantly being replenished. Hotel was spotlessly clean the best IBIS we have stayed in. Thank you

I cam to visit the Theater in Berlin and the Ibis Berlin Mitte was a good option for stay. Teh majority of the personnal were very sympatic. The room was clean, the bed was confortable the shower was good and I got a parking place. That is what we need for just one night.

Near center, Alexanderplatz. Has good personnel on reception desk. Take the M2 to center, allthough it's 10 minutes by foot. Has a convenience store on a gaz station, right on the outside. Nothing more particularly to say about it.

I found this hotel to be very good overall. I found the room to be of a decent size, clean, comfortable and modern. Room was fairly quiet given it was overlooking a main road. Breakfast was fairly tasty and reasonably good value for money. Hotel included a restaurant / bar that seemed to be open all night, which is useful.... More

Great facilities, 24 hour service including bar, comfortable bed and overall great hotel, however we would have appreciated a kettle to use for the morning coffee. Location wise, it was very close to Alexanderplatz which has great U-bahn and S-bahn links, along with a supermarket up the street and a great Doner-Kebab place. An unexciting view from the room but... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
