Only a kilometer from Alexanderplatz, this hotel is clean and modern. My only issues were that the breakfast was a bit pricey unless you got it included in the room rate, and the cleaning fluid they used in the hallways reminded my of used cat litter. The elevators were fast and responded promptly. Get a room facing Alexanderplatz, if possible... More

For the amount of money we paid, you cant even fault it. No they don't offer room service and they rooms are quite basic, but we didn't really need them. The petrol station next door is very useful and its very convenient for all basics. Helpfull staff and allowed us to leave bags there for free before we flow home... More

Stayed here for 3 nights with a friend while visiting the Christmas markets. We booked because it seemed a good location and was cheap option. At only a two star rating I didn't hold my breath however.....how pleasantly surprised I was. Would definitely deserve another star in my book! The hotel is in a great central location, 10mins walk from... More

As you would expect from an Ibis hotel, basic, but clean facilities all well priced. Not my favourite Ibis, the breakfast could have been more varied and the bar better stocked. Very limited food options outside breakfast. Still a good choice for the money we paid.

Room nice and clean and close to tram stop. Breakfast was what you would expect from a Ibis hotel and plentiful. Staff were very friendly and helpful and always as smile. Wifi in room was excellent and whilst there was no in-room safe there was a safe available in the hotel "safe room "

The room was very clean (no fridge though) and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful as well. The hotel is located within walking distance of the shopping area. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Eight of us stayed in this hotel as it was ideally located for the Christmas markets. It was about a 15 minute walk from Alexanderplatz. The rooms were very comfy and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was a continental buffet and the staff frequently replenished the items before they ran out. Overall a good hotel and excellent value for... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
