This hotel is a great budget hotel, very clean and safe comfortable bed. The location is about 15 minutes to Alexanderplatz I found it abit out of the way from where all the action took place in Berlin. Good place if you want a quite place at the end of the night though abit of a walk

Very close to Alexanderplatz and many great sights. Did not have to use any other form of transport than my own two feet to see for example Berliner Dom which is one sight I would recommend everyone to see if visiting Berlin. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room has all the basics right. Clean room, couple towels, big enough... More

Classic good quality Ibis Hotel. Easy to get to from the airport. Buses, trams, trains and metro all within easy reach. Only a very short walk from a range of friendly, good value bars and restaurants. Friendly helpful staff and a little bar to grab a nightcap, coffee or hot chocolate after a full day exploring this fascinating city!

Arrived wednesday june 3 and checked out sunday june 7. Check in was quick and the room in "fair" condition. Cleaners did a thorough job and location convenient so what more could ask for? Good nights sleep maybe? Then sadly, this is not the place to go. Partygoers and football fans visiting Berlin for the Juventus-Barcelona FC finals were seemingly... More

Well situated, simple and reasonably priced city hotel, ideal for a short stay in berlin. Room looked onto a quite garden so absolut silence from the outside even with open windows. Good wifi. Television is a bit of a problem because most of it is in german.!

Very friendly helpful staff who could all speak English fluently. We were able to check into our rooms early and leave luggage after check out. Close to tram stop, bus stop and 5/10 minutes from the Prenzlauerberg area where there were many reasonably priced restaurants in a quiet friendly location. Rooms were clean and comfortable and of a reasonable size.... More

Small room and bathroom but functional. No hand towels, facecloth, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, clock radio, Kleenex. Fantastic location! Steps to the best area in Berlin Prenslauerberg with hundreds of restaurants and little shops in a great residential neighbourhood. Two main public transportation routes outside the door. Alexander Platz a 10 minute walk away. Friendly staff. Free wifi was more than... More

Went together with a friend to the IBIS Berlin Mitte. Room and bathroom was clean and big enough for us. Although the Hotel is situated to a main road, there was no noise during the night. The staff had been very friendly to us and we could check in at 1pm!! (In common, this is not possible and you only... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
