I have stayed in this hotel tens of times over many years, on every floor ... and it is consistently excellent value - rooms are always spotless, everything works, decent breakfast with good coffee and orange juice and efficient staff. The hotel is 10-min walk to Kolwitz platz with a wide selection of restaurants and bars and 10-min to the... More

Could not believe the quality of this hotel for the price! Very comfortable and clean. Staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. Alexanderplatz was in walking distance and the perfect spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch or some shopping in the great stalls and shops.

I stay for one night at Ibis Berlin Mitte and I didn't regret it! The hotel is just across a tram stop that can take you direct to Alexanderplatz where you can take S and U bahn! The room was really spacy and the staff was very helpful! The price is really low according to what you pay!

A bright, modern, clean, well organised and well run hotel in Berlin Mitte. Five minutes walk to the Alexanderplatz bus, tram, U & S-Bahn hub, including TXL bus to Tegel airport (20 mins). Supermarket nearby, and excellent choice of restaurants and bars in Prenzlauerberg (10 mins walk). The Ibis Berlin Mitte hotel has excellent facilities at a fair price, and has... More

I spent a very comfortable 8 days in this hotel. Spotless, with a comfortable bed and lovely strong shower, well designed to make the best use of the small space, I did not feel cramped and got very good value for what I wanted to pay. The staff is friendly and helpful, the WiFi works very well and fast. There... More

I pend 4 days in Berlin and this hotel was good place to stay, the breakfast is very good and the double room is not with a lot od space but it was nice. The advantage of being close to Alexander platz and the city center is very important. I recommend that hotel for you to stay in Berlin

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was on the 7th floor and had great views of the city. There was no noise from other rooms or the street outside. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean. It had a good shower and good towels. The breakfast was good with plenty to food... More

What a Fantastic location. 5 min walk to central Alexandra platz. And a 20 min walk from anywhere you want to go. The hotel itself was a standard ibis experience, which certainly isn't luxury but is what you'd expect from ibis/travellodge/premier inn style hotel. Great trip! Amazing food all over the city and the xmas market was awesome (and cheap!)

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
