Previous feedback was very unfair, the staff could not have been more helpful, and the rooms were bright, clean and cheerful, in good repair. It was ideal for shopping and eating in the best part of town, just 2 minutes walk. The first stop of the sightseeing bus was also only 2 minutes away. I would recommend you take a... More

Stayed on a weekend package. Good location for walking round and for the trains and underground. Perfectly clean rooms, were a good size and the breakfast was nice. Was very busy so had to be careful when you turned you up for breakfast but they do have signs up telling you the best time to arrive. Staff were polite but... More

After an early morning flight we arrived at the hotel not sure if we were going to be able to check in yet or not. To our delight our room was ready for us by 12 noon so we were able to drop our bags off right away. Our room was situated on the 6th floor near the lift. I... More

You have to remember that most of Berlin was destroyed in the war, and most buildings are post-war, many 1960’s utilitarian style. So it is with the Hotel Mark. Our bathroom (4th floor) had been modernised though. Breakfast: good selection. Can get crowded at times. In the room: minibar, but no tea/coffee facilities. Not enough electrical sockets -- had to... More

If travelling here by train from Schoenefeld airport , its pretty easy to get to though the train station had no one to help and the timetables are confusing. The zoo is right opposite the train station and highly recommend visiting it, its brilliant. As for the hotel, yes it can be noisey outside but you're right in the city so... More

This was our first trip to Berlin. When we arrived at the Hotel we were very surprised to find how nice the hotel was as we walked in. We only paid £50 for two night for 2 people room only so we were not expecting much. The Receptionists were brilliant with us when we were booking in and was very... More

The hotel is located about a ten minutes walk from Berlin Zoo, with trains taking you to Berlin centre in about ten mins. It's also handy for Schönefeld Airport with the RE7 and RB14 trains going to the airport with no transfers. The hotel itself was exactly what we were after which was a comfortable hotel we could use as... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
