The hotel is lovely. Clean and comfortable. The bed is amazing! The location despite what the taxi driver from the airport said was great. Tram five minutes walking took us everywhere! The attitude of the staff was awful! Unhelpful and rude. Not enough staff. 30 minutes to register. No apology just rudeness!!! Shocking! I’m a single parent traveling on my own I was made to feel like an idiot!! We saved up for a long time for this trip and made to feel inconsequential!!!!!

Clean comfortable warm however does lack facilities in the rooms i.e. kettle and fridge. Bar expensive small beer €3, bottle of water €7.50 no draught beer. No English tea at breakfast. Some staff pleasant and helpful .

Under the bed they have NEVER cleaned the dust, probably since they opened the hotel back in the sixties. Awful patches of concentrated dust. Have the ckeaning personal take a look at that. It really should not happen in any hotel.

I'm really surprised by the low reviews as this wasn't our experience at all. Yes it's a budget hotel, so I wouldn't expect a 5* star experience BUT our room was modern, clean, spacious and comfortable (the pillows could be a little plumper). The bed was two twins pushed together but this is common in Germany and the nordic regions, so not unexpected plus we both love having our own duvet and, after travelling, we now have this at home too. It was great to have a free bottle of water in the room and we also bought soft drinks from reception when we arrived. We were on the top floor (14th) and we had no issues with the lift. Staff were friendly on arrival and we even managed to access our room one hour early with no additional fees. We didn't eat in the hotel as we were there to enjoy Berlin, we got up early to have breakfast in central Berlin and had dinner before returning to the hotel. Public transport in Berlin is amazing and there are numerous tram stops near the hotel. We used the M6 most often (5 min walk from the stop to hotel) to Alexanderplatz and beyond but also used another nearby stop to use other transport connections to move around the city. It did take quite some time to get to and from the airport as you do need to make connections but everything was easy to do and we never experienced any late running services. Would we stay here again, maybe...we would not hesitate to stay in the hotel again but only if we didn't have early morning flights (which we did)! This meant that when we arrived, we had to carry our heavy bags around the city centre to make the most of our 3 nights (the hotel was too far away to go there to drop bags and then come back). We were so tired, that we chanced heading to the hotel early to see if early check-in was possible and they were very helpful. On our last day we had to get up at 4am as we were on an early flight home and it took more than 90 mins to go from hotel to airport, we would loved to have stayed somewhere near a station with direct airport links to get that extra 60 mins in bed. So if you don't have early morning flights, then definitely go for it and get a Welcome to Berlin card as that covers all of your travel including from the airport to hotel. Berlin is a brilliant city and we loved it!

We were booked this hotel through a third party, it’s a shame this hotel don’t just up their game a bit as there’s not lots wrong, we turned up as a couple and were given a twin room, couldn’t change! Our pillows had no life in them, we asked for extra pillows and they had no stuffing either, not a comfortable nights sleep, well sadly 3 nights of hardly any sleep. The extractor stayed on all night too, the rooms themselves are actually ok, good size and modern looking, just not made to be plush and comfortable at all. The young lad at the bar charged us €9.50 for a small Bacardi & Coke, I questioned the price by asking how much is a coke? €2.50, and the Bacardi? €3.20, so that’s €5.70, yes that’s correct, so I’ve been overcharged? No, he replied, then walked off 😡 breakfast was bland and cold and No Tea or Coffee in your room at all😳 we actually only had 1 bottle of water to share, and yes I agree with the other reviewers, the staff were not very chatty at all and looked miserable, the only person who seemed happy was the receptionist, but sadly she was only there 1 night. PLEASE read your reviews and buy some nice pillows and mattresses and put a smile on your faces! And No, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again… which is a shame as the transport links are great as is Berlin.

I came here twice because I was on a schooltrip. The first time I was there, I found pink hair and brown hair on my bed sheets. The towels were dirty and had mascara on them, the showers were dirty, the sink had toothpaste all over and it vas period blood on the toilet. The second time I went there the people that worked there were never nice to anyone and they’re face expressions where unpleasant. They also gave almost everyone a ticket for something they never told us were illegal, just to earn money. Their breakfast were disgusting and the people working on the kitchen were also not nice and yelled at everyone. The dinner we ate had disgusting meat and they had almost the same everyday. The elevator takes 10! minutes just to go down and buy a bottle of water, also the second elevator broke down with people in it. Which means the elevators will take even more time.

I was here for a school trip with my school, our stay at this hotel lasted 3 days total. First i will begin with the rooms, we had a 5 person room and got fined €60 for moving a bed a couple of meters. When they found that me and my friends had moved a bed they took pictures and didnt bother make our beds or change our towels. The elevator gets stuck quite often (it broke down twice in the span of 2 days) forcing you to use the stairs, mind that there are 16 floors. And the food choice is very limited at all meals wether it is, breakfast, dinner or supper. The staff is not the most respectful, they will find the slightest problem and fine you for it, our colleagues rooms were found witb stains and strands of hair in their beds. This hotel is definitely not worth it for the price.

The food is okay, the staff is rude and the rooms are most likely to be filthy. When we entered the room, there was blood and hair in the bathroom, and stains of unknown substance on the bed sheets. They will charge you for anything, just to squeeze some extra money out of you. Youll get charged for the stupidest things like leaving the windows open all the way and moving tables, when you obviously are gonna move them back when you leave. Please dont go here it sucks. The only way this could be worth it is it was much cheaper👎👎

The elevators are really bad and get ruined really fast. So we had to use the stairs. And it’s 16 floors. The food is really bad too. The staff is really not helpful. We found hair in the bed to.
