We spent 3 nights here last week whilst on a short break to explore Berlin. We had a wonderful room (408) with a balcony overlooking the river which was great. The room was large, clean and very quiet at night. The bathroom was okay but old fashioned shower curtain not brilliant. The location is very peaceful yet only 30 minutes... More

This hotel was, probably, a good one... 20 years ago. Rooms and floors need renovation, keys for rooms are extremely old-fashioned (huge physical keys), TVs are small and of kinescope type, the view from the window is just terrible. I gave 2 stars, because the staff was friendly und helpful.

Good staff and confort. A little bit standard the room, but with wonderfull sight at the river. Very good location in a quiet and nice place. I liked very much the stile of the bilding and the river outside.

This experience was a compendium of various feared, but partly yet unrealized occurrences. Please do stay here if you're not too picky about: wanting a room with other tea selection than fruity flavours, a Wi-Fi that does inexplicably stop accepting the access code mid-stay, a receptionist who gets indignant when she later learns that I wasn't a natural German-speaker after... We had 4 nights here and they were lovely. Pros:- Gorgeous river views, close to Bellevue S Bahn station, spacious clean rooms, plenty of storage, safe in room, helpful staff, powerful showers, room cleaned daily, shops and restaurants close by, good nights sleep. Cons:- poor wifi, 'double beds' were 2 singles pushed together, tried to charge us for mini bar... More

Good for transport links and sight-seeing. Good, clean amenities at a good price. Would have had to upgrade to have tea and coffee facilities in the room. Unusual outlook from the ground floor room we were booked in to but this wasn't important given that we were only there for three nights.. Really helpful staff. We would book there again.

Very good location for a new year's break in Berlin. An easy walk to the Tiergarten and a beautiful view of the fireworks from their top floor. Practical functional rooms and a brilliant breakfast. Efficient friendly staff. We will be back.

Staying in Moabit

Neighborhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighborhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city center are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighborhood in the city.
