We chose the Schlosshotel primarily based upon the reviews in Tripadvisor and the fact that it has a swimming pool. I still believe that Tripadvisor is a useful tool but everyone's circumstances are different and if you are traveling with young children, please keep reading to hopefully avoid the terrible experience that we had. I travel extensively for work and... More

The rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. Food is amazing. Too bad we wanted to see the city, or we would have been content to just stay on the hotel property the entire stay. The only drawback to the hotel is that it is not centrally located. This hotel is best for a romantic tryst or for someone who knows... More

I had never liked Berlin that much before discovering this hotel. If you are into the modern/urban culture, don't stay here and go to the east side where things are happening. However, if you are after a bit of Unter den Linden romance, this is the place. The setting, salons (one after the other), garden, corridors, rooms, the whole thing... More

We visit Berlin 5 to 6 times a year to go to the opera, so we drive to the schlosshotel as our second home. We reach the opera in 15 minutes by car. We are always welcome and feel like "at home" Our children (13) enjoy the pool, the spa, we do to, the service is always perfect. We always... More

This was our third coming back in this hotel in last 7 years. And we were not disappointed. If you are looking for romantic place with historical taste still kept in excellent condition, smell of fire place, professional and helpful staff - this is place to go. This is great place to stay in good and/or bad weather conditions. Hotel... More

We stayed here for a long weekend on our first ever visit to Berlin. We loved everything about the hotel - the staff were lovely and really couldn't do enough for you, the room was fab and the whole hotel was just beautiful. I know a few people have complained about the food, we did not have dinner in the... More

If you are looking for a cheal hotel, then this one is not for you. If however you are looking for one of the best hotels in Berlin, then you have found the right place. We choose this hotel since we are a familiy travelling with small kids and we would like to have plenty of space around them. This you certainly get with this Schlosshotel which is also part of small LHW (leading hotels of the world). The halls around the main entrance are grandiose and so are the rooms. We had a suite... Stayed here for a wedding reception. Fine old-world hotel built in the early 1900's as a private residence. Excellent food, service, indoor pool, spa, and amenities. Expensive, so would not spend more than a night or two, but clearly a window into the old German aristocracy life. Set in a quiet secluded residencial area about 25 minutes southwest of bustling... In selecting Schlosshotel Im Grunewald for a two night stay with my teenage children I did consider whether it would be better to stay in the city. The reality is that the railway station is only a ten minute walk from the hotel through a very pleasant suburb. It was good to be able to relax in leafy surroundings after... More
