I stayed i a single room and it was compact and comfortable. You can add breakfast, but there is a little cafe almost next door that has decent coffee and pastries. The staff are very helpful and waited up for my late checkin after midnight.

I was there with a group of 23 (a choir) for three nights in June 2015. Because of the Champions League final we had a hard time finding a hotel we could afford, but ending up at the Plaza was the best decision we could have made. The location was central but idyllic, the rooms were well-equipped, the breakfast was... More

Small rooms, small bathroom, everything very average and unremarkable, very hot in summer and noisy outside so difficult to open windows, bed too soft for my liking, BBC news the only English channel and TV positioned so that screen could not be easily seen, staff friendly and efficient, very clean and neat. In summary, an easily forgettable hotel but in... More

Excellent location just of the Ku'dam and handy for all transport. Very helpful staff and clean tidy rooms. No fridge or electric kettle in rooms. Breakfast available but nice cafe just next door. Knese Restaurant is part of the hotel and serves Berlin specialities. (Huge servings) Lots of restaurants nearby especially in Sauvingy Plaza.

Accompanying my spouse to a two-day seminar in the great city of Berlin, we found ourselves entwined in a Champions League of football bonanza. So needless to say, leading up to the weekend, hotel rooms were in short supply. We were in luck, though, as eventually we managed to find this nice spot conveniently located next to Kurfürstendamm boulevard. Or... More

We stayed for four nights visiting our son who is working in Berlin. The hotel is set in In the Kufurstendamm area very close to shopping area and U Bahn station. Our double room was small but well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a mixture of hot and cold options. Coffee excellent. The Knese restaurant is attached... More

Nice central hotel in a fairly quiet street. We arrived early for check in but was able check immediately which was good Room was basic but clean - only problem was that the shower water took a long time to drain away. Didn't have breakfast at the hotel as better value breakfast available elsewhere locally but was told that is... More

Still a nice hotel. Seems to have some money problems.... The breakfast gets poorer and poorer. Also, now with a token for breakfast, they asked me three times for the token, as if they had nothing to do. The breakfast staff was otherwise being very unhelpful and only standing around.

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
