We had a good short stay in the Plaza. Its a good central place to see the sights of Berlin. Clean and presentable. Breakfast was a bit of a scramble, probably best to leave your towel over a chair the previous evening if you want to sit with friends or family. Nice bar at the front. Great beer. I would... More

I booked this trip with a friend for my upcoming birthday and the main reason we chose this hotel was due to the insanely low price. For three nights B&B it could not be beaten and still have relatively good reviews. Ten minutes walk away from the main train station and three minutes from the nearest U-bahn station. Took a... We stayed here for 4 nights last week, March 9th - 13th and for an inner city hotel we were pleased. The beds were comfy, (I have back problems) I asked for an extra pillow, no problem there, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was quite adequate, though understandably for the price, did not have a massive... More

I have been to Berlin last week to attend ITB, yet I was also looking forward some good time in the city... I could tell that without the hotel staff, I might have had a lousy trip! Since I started communicating with Reservation department to make the booking, they showed a high level of cooperation & professionalism handling requirements (... More

Me and my partner have stayed in this hotel durign summer 2014 for two nights. Located in the city center, almost on the mian street Kurfuerstendamm. Great shopping and great restaurants nearby. 15-20 min walk to KaDeWe. The hotel itslef is clean and comortable. Maybe the bulding needs to be updated, but the rooms are clean, and that what counts.... More

We have been visiting the Berlin Plaza for several years now usually with friends. Each stay we have been looked after extremely well with friendly staff and good food. The hotel is well situated for the Ku'Dam ( Berlins Bond Street) as well as some historic and quirky bars.

The hotel is nice and spotless clean. Beds are excellent with firm mattress. The rooms are OK with a TV and a chair, else no extra like a coffee cooker or mini fridge. Bottled water has to be supplied by yourself from the supermarket a few steps away. Bathrooms are supplied with nice fresh towels and a soap dispenser. Staff... More

What a great little gem of a hotel. Right in the heart of Berlin. I'll get straight to the point. Rooms Small but enough for everything you need. There was a desk bedside table lamps and tv. The bathroom was rather small but again enough for a couple and had everything you needed. Staff. Very pleasant and helpful. I don't... More

We stayed here in Dec as we were visiting Berlin for the Christmas and german markets. On arrival we were greeted y a not so helpful member of staff however she was the only one we encountered...the rest were friendly and more than happy to help. The room itself was warm, clean and spacious. Bed was very comfortable. I sleep with... More

During our Europe trip we have stayed in other 3 star hotels and haven't been disappointed. But Berlin Plaza Hotel definitely left us feeling let down as soon as we arrived. We stayed for 4 nights in the hotel and regretted booking it for that long. Yes, the hotel is dated and thats something we can look past; but uncomfortable... More

We are very sorry that you had an unpleasant stay – your remarks regarding the cigarette smell alarmed us as the PLAZA is a non smoking property. We keep this serious! Wouldn't have a change of bedrooms been a possibility? But thank you for your review – critics always helping to improve! The management More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
