Very nice hotel - really comfortable place to stay with very helpful staff and I had a good-size room. Not the plushest 5* hotel in the world, but staff are great and with some of the offers available (I paid under £65 for a room) this is great value. The hotel has lots of services (spa restaurant etc.) I didn't... More

There are classier and more ostentatious hotels in Berlin than Hotel Palace but you would be hard pressed to find a better all round package. The Palace offers all the comforts of a 5-star hotel. The rooms are very well equipped, clean and comfortable, room service is good, there is a good spa complex (though there are charges for the... More

In a minute I would return to this hotel for another stay! At the end of March, I was in Berlin for a week, traveling solo. I knew I had chosen the right hotel the moment I approached the lobby, bedraggled and tired from a long flight. A friendly, helpful doorman saw to my bags, and the charming clerk at... More

Just home after a three night weekend stay at Palace hotel and I’m more than pleased for the hotel it self but also for the high end service. The room was very nice and large. Coming home in the evening I must say I really appreciate their turn down service, that’s luxury. I’m in particular also pleased with the service... More

Stayed for 3 nights in April and really enjoyed it. Great location close to Berlin Zoo, KaDeWe, shopping and underground Nice rooms and helpful staff Great breakfast, but expensive if you do not get included in your room price. Fantastic!

We did get a great deal on Wotif and how lucky were we. From the moment we pulled up in a taxi and doorman opened the taxi door I had a good vibe. The receptionist was a gem and every time we walk by she knows your name and says hello. The room was spacious with lovely furnishings, the bathroom... More

Just back from a five night stay at the Palace Berlin. Had a wonderful time here, the one down side to our stay was the pool was closed. When looking for a hotel in Berlin I choose this one for its excellent location and the spa facilities on offer. My husband has had a problem with his leg for the... More

We spent the Easter weekend in this hotel. Are we ever glad we booked it. It felt quite affordable to us, and yet it was a five-star (a true European five-star) and even a "Leading Hotel". I liked the fact that, even though it is a big proper hotel, it is not a chain hotel. It is locally owned. We... More

Great hotel with perfect location. Nice clean rooms, very nice staff and free spa for all guests. The only negative thing is there is no free wifi. Did not eat the breakfast. Would gladly come back and recommend to anyone! Had a very pleasant stay!

The rooms were nicely decorated and everything was very clean. The rooms were good size for Europe (on the small size by American standards). The snacks in the room were limited but they had a decent restaurant with a large selection. They provided an adapter for American to Northern European outlets in the amenities in the room. The staff was... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
