I have never written a review on trip advisor but feel I have to having stayed in this hotel. It was superb. We were upgraded at check in (leaders club) and everyone was very friendly. The bath and the shower were superb, and the room nicely furnished. Loved the gummy bears in the lobby when you came back to the... More

My wife and I stayed in Berlin for 2 nights. We stayed here because we got a great rate on Hotwire. The staff was very nice and helpful. I've stayed in a few 5 star hotels before but felt a little out of place at this one. We noticed one of the helpful staff who was a younger woman offering... More

We had a 4 day break at this Hotel in Berlin. It proved to be a great choice with S & U Bahn within easy walking distance. Service, Rooms, Lounge Area and bar exceptional. We used it as a Base to visit most of the sights we wanted to see. You can buy a one, two, three or four daysaver... More

This is a classic 5* hotel in the middle of West-Berlin, opposite the zoo. We got an upgrade to a Business room. Good size, nice furnishing. Could be sound proofed better, especially towards the hallway (a second door between entrance and bedroom would be a great idea). Kettle and coffe/tea selection but no coffee/espresso machine. Free newspaper was a plus.... More

I booked a long weekend in this hotel with my other half as a surprise for valentines. (Took me about 10 months to save up). However when we arrived we were not disappointed. They allowed us to check in 3 hours early and couldn't have been more helpful with any queries we had. The food on the first floor was... More

We recently booked to stay here for a romantic night away. When we arrived we were greeted in a lovely friendly manner. Unfortunately the hotel had made a mistake and over booked. A supervisor explained the situation. Fortunately, they had booked us a room in another five star hotel. To apologise they bought us a drink each, gave us some... More

I've stayed here several times. It's located close to Zoological Garden railway/subway station and convenient for sightseeing/airport bus routes. Hotel rooms are modern, comfortable and well-appointed. Staff generally very friendly and efficient. Buffet breakfast is excellent and prices reasonable. Located quite close to Tiergarten and Berlin Philharmonic in Kurfurstendam area which is excellent for shopping, designer boutiques etc.

Just arrived home after a relaxing weekend in Berlin. The hotel upgraded our room, always a nice surprice. The valet parking is pretty expensive. The last night We had dinner at Sams bar at the hotel. it's a very cosy place, but our meal was uneatable!

I have stayed in the Hotel Palace many times. The check in is swift and friendly. Some rooms have been renovated, the rooms are not to big but also not to small. Just right. The Hotel is opposite from Berlin Zoo, it is reachable, even walking distance from HBF Zoo, Bus station to Airport Tegel and HBF Zoo to Airport... More

This is a fantastic hotel for anyone visiting Berlin either on business or for pleasure. I stayed for 4 nights in Nov 14 and could not have been happier. The quality of the rooms and facilities were faultless, the food was magnificent (breakfast choice is immense) and the supporting staff could not have been more helpful. Location of the hotel... Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
