My wife and I stayed all six nights we were in Berlin. Received a room upgrade for no charge at check-in to a business room; average rate was 120 euros during our stay. Room was larger than most in Europe and very comfortable. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel is very convenient to Zoogarten train station with lots... More

Here for business. Hotel is located just opposite the Zoo and the new Bikini shopping mall. The staff is really nice and willing to help. The hotel looks old from outside but is nice and nicely decorated inside. Rooms have all the adequate amenities and there is a spa ( not tried). Didn't have time to try the breakfast. Location... A positive experience. Very helpful staff going out of their way to help out. Good food. Nice amenities in the room, and a well stocked minibar. Limited selection of TV channels, Internet access cumbersome, and the rooms rather dated, yet comfortable.

Stayed one night. Reasonably priced. Very clean. Room well appointed and comfortable bed. Good location for walking around former West Berlin. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Everyone very helpful. Bit far from many of the former East German attractions.... Be prepared to cab it!

Stayed for 4 nights and slept well. The internet was not working properly throughout the stay - as if a 5 star hotel in 2015 needs internet... Also the food is over cooked, fish smells weird and the only fresh salad was full of sand. Don't go!!!!

Rooms, big well appointed, 2 singles together as double, nice touches eg slippers robes, big bathroom, plenty of supplies. Minor gripes, on my first afternoon 4 visits from housekeeping so a bit over the top. Beds separated at night so it's just a twin room. Hot in the room, but window opened. Big restaurant, breakfast good, nice selection and good... More

Had a lovely trip here, we stayed 2 nights. On arrival our room wasn't ready, after a trip to the zoo (which is opposite and well worth a visit), we checked in and received a room upgrade by 2 categories and it was lovely. Super modern. The hotel is best placed for shopping. If you want to explore East Berlin... More

We loved staying here! Our flight arrived at 7:00am in Berlin, and they accommodated our early check-in with no issues. Our 7 night stay was excellent! The staff was helpful, and made an effort to remember our names. I love Berlin, but don't rely on anyone at the Bahnhof to give you directions. However, the staff here pointed us in... More

Stayed at the Palace for the third time. When we checked in, we were given a wonderful surprise - upgraded to a wonderful suite with three rooms!! We had four fantastic days. Very nice staff. The breakfast is great. A new gin bar was opened since the last visit. Wonderful pool with spa. And we saw all the Hertha Berlin... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
