Stayed for 4 nights. Frendly stuff, nice and clean rooms, very good breakfast. Little bit far away from the center, but well connected with public transportation. Really good choice for short stay in Berlin.

I booked this place because of the location, car park, wifi and having been to several Holiday inns previously knew that I would be getting a good sevice. Unfortunatelly when I arrived I was told that the car park was in need of repair and could not be used, I therefore needed to park somewhere on the street if I... More

The best things about this hotel are: Worthy price, Location and Friendly Staff. The room is big and clean equipped with air condition. The staff are friendly and speak English very well. The tram station located opposite side of hotel door and easily get you to Alexander Platz by 15min riding.

Stayed there for 5 nights with as a group of 4 (2 twin beds per room). It's what you expect from a holiday inn. Has everything you need and the cleaners come daily. Only about 10mins from Alexander Platz on the tram which stops right outside the hotel. Comes with free WiFi which is capped at 1GB but this resets... More

It's just fine. Super friendly, super nice, breakfast is great, rooms are exactly predictable and as advertised. Kind of sterile, but that's what you're going for in a European Holiday Inn. It works well, as expected, and people smile and are welcoming. Lots of clean plain surfaces, squeezable soap, and gleaming tile. Personality is minimal, but adjacent to Kreuzberg that's... More

Quiet and well located. Room was OK but nothing espetacular. Access to the tram right in front is a plus. Just ten minutes to/from Alexanderplatz. Some goos options of shops and cafes around and some supermarkets nearby.

From the minute I walked into this hotel my experience was less than welcoming. There was no one at the front desk. Had to wait for the man who came from an area where it was clear he was sitting down eating a meal instead of working the front desk. He asked questions but didn't understand my responses nor could... More

I have to say, as much as I am loath to right a bad review, the experience my good friend had this weekend at this hotel was terrible. My friend has a disability which means he has to have a room with a walk-in shower. One which he booked when reserving the room in JANUARY. Because, he needs a walk... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
