Quiet and well located. Room was OK but nothing espetacular. Access to the tram right in front is a plus. Just ten minutes to/from Alexanderplatz. Some goos options of shops and cafes around and some supermarkets nearby.

From the minute I walked into this hotel my experience was less than welcoming. There was no one at the front desk. Had to wait for the man who came from an area where it was clear he was sitting down eating a meal instead of working the front desk. He asked questions but didn't understand my responses nor could... More

Dear Ivdlfnn, Thank you for your feedback! We want to deeply apologize for your gained impression when entering the hotel. I´m pretty sure, that this must be some kind of a misunderstanding. We have a canteen where all staff members are supposed to have their meals and to spend their breaks there. I´m very sorry for all these negative impressions,... More

I have to say, as much as I am loath to right a bad review, the experience my good friend had this weekend at this hotel was terrible. My friend has a disability which means he has to have a room with a walk-in shower. One which he booked when reserving the room in JANUARY. Because, he needs a walk... More

Dear 26triberlin, On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations! We´ll contact your friend directly, to take the opportunity for a personal apology. We also want to personally discuss with him how we can offset his uncomfortable experience. All, what happened, doesn´t meet our standards. We would like to expressly apologize to... More

Well run hotel with the tram stop is right outside the hotel. It has a great breakfast range giving a very good start to the day. Good sized clean rooms & bathrooms. Helpful staff. Would have given this 5 stars but for badly cracked cup at cafe maker, and soap dispenser empty on arrival. Otherwise, a great stay for four days.... More

Dear Mr Academical, Thank you very much for your detailed feedback and for all the tips, that you´re giving to future guests. Especially the hint about the yellow box. You cannot imagine how many Berlin travellers don´t know that and worst case, they would have to pay 40 Euros. With this knowledge about the public transport services and Berlin in... More

We stayed two nights in May. The hotel is very conveniently located near the center and the train stops right in front of the hotel which is great. There is a 10 Euro parking fee, which the hotel gives you a placard to place in your vehicle and you can park on the street in front of the hotel. Here... More

Dear Cru16110, Thanks for taking the time to send us a review and also for this fantastic feedback. I have to tell you, that the free parking facilities around the hotel are no longer there, because the city decided to reduce the free parking zones. But thanks for advising! We still offer our hotel parking facilities. Looking forward to welcoming... More

This a great place to stay when in Berlin, easy access with bus and street cars to Alexandra Plaza , it is close to the airport and rail station. We found great restaurants near by, shopping mall walking distance, several convenient shops close by. Rates are very fair, the hotel is very clean and rooms quite nice. The staff speak... More

I stayed at this hotel while in Berlin with friends for a stag weekend. The hotel is easy to get to from Schonefeld airport via S-Bahn train via line S9. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel - we just had a few hours sleep each night. We were out until... More

My husband was in Berlin on business and I tagged along. We chose this hotel as it was fairly close to the 'vegan quarter' in Berlin, plus it has good transport links and plenty of restaurants and shops near by. The tram stop is just outside and there's a supermarket next door and across the road too in addition to... More

This hotel was a disappointment from the very start. The hotel is quite run-down. Rooms are not as clean as you would expect from a four star hotel, no safe in the room, the bathroom smelt like a sewer, and my A3 was too big for the parking garage. I didn't see a waiter at out table for coffee during... More

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
