My husband was in Berlin on business and I tagged along. We chose this hotel as it was fairly close to the 'vegan quarter' in Berlin, plus it has good transport links and plenty of restaurants and shops near by. The tram stop is just outside and there's a supermarket next door and across the road too in addition to... More

This hotel was a disappointment from the very start. The hotel is quite run-down. Rooms are not as clean as you would expect from a four star hotel, no safe in the room, the bathroom smelt like a sewer, and my A3 was too big for the parking garage. I didn't see a waiter at out table for coffee during... More

Dear wgiezennar, thank you very much for your evaluation and the time spent on it. We deeply regret that we couldn’t fulfill your expectation and want to apologize for it. We already took the chance to re-think about the parking issue. Together with our team we already found a solution regarding the Sunday to Monday-problem. Of course nobody has to... More

Excellent choice for a stay in Berlin. Location is ideal, can walk or take the tram very easily to interesting neighborhoods in the nearby neighborhoods of the hotel. Staff is friendly and happy to help with questions. Beds are really comfortable, room and bathroom both large and very clean.

Clean, very reasonably priced hotel, comfortable beds and quiet rooms. Not smack bang in the middle of the City centre, however, public transport is great here. Would recommend as a good base for exploring Berlin.

Stayed here while checking out places to live in Berlin. The hotel is not in a touristy area but is just a 20 min tram ride from Alexanderplatz. We had a room upgrade, which was nice. The car park is a little tricky but the front desk staff were very helpful. I also wanted to write this review mainly to... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights recently and were pleased with the size of the room and how it overlooked Prenzlauer Allee with full length windows. Clean, comfortable, spacious and warm and with a Tram stop just outside well located to get in to Berlin centre. The staff were helpful, the only thing I would say was... More

General a very good hotel, friendly staff, clean and very nice rooms. Breakfast was good and transport in to center via tram just outside hotel was perfect for us a family of 3. Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighborhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighborhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
