We went to the restaurant Hotel Crowne Plaza Berlin City Center Nuernberger Strasse 65, 10787 Berlin, Germany, at random because we stayed close to Wittenberger Platz/ KaDeWe. I have never been to Argentina or to Texas (US), but I know a decent beef when I got one. No need for cutlery, but for a spoon to part the beef With,... More

Honestly this is a fine hotel. The room is clean, very good facilities, centrally located near KaDeWe and U-bahn. Has very good breakfast. Stuff is very friendly. Will recommend it to anyone who would like to get very good hotel for a pleasant city stay.

If it were a holiday inn, I would give it three stars. As a crown plaza, it is poor. Rooms are very small...not enough space for two people to open carry on luggage at the same time. You'll need to keep your arms tucked in if you want to turn around in the bathroom. I'm a platinum member and there... More

Arrived early ~ 10 am Saturday morning and was pleasantly surprised that they allowed me to check in. The professionalism of the front desk staff was reflected throughout the hotel and the staff were, without exception, easy to deal with and helpful. This meant I could get rid of my luggage and allowed for a day of sightseeing. Berlin is... More

We stayed one night before flying back to London few days ago. Hotel is situated closer to the Berlin Zoo and to a large shopping centre. You'll find lots of restaurants and bars in this area. Very friendly staff and they all speak good english. Our room was very clean and tidy. we had a great night sleep in a... More

On the surface a great looking hotel, however, dig a little deeper and its very disappointing. Stayed here for 7 nights recently and held a business event here. Service is inconsistent, rooms are not cleaned adequately and issues are not resolved. The highlights A shower that flooded the whole bathroom and hallway every morning, and despite 8 calls/visits to raise... More

Dear Victhinks, Thank you for your detailed feedback, even though it is far away, from what we usually do receive and even further from our own, high standards. To be honest, I was speechless when reading your comments. There is no doubt that sometimes things can “go wrong” during a stay, but the accumulation of incidents you unfortunately have to... More

There is nothing unique about this hotel: a large, efficiently run hotel at the heart of busy city. On the good side, the price was right, everything was clean, breakfast was generous offering many choices for all. On the other side, the internal design of the bathroom was a bit odd (saving space I guess), the mattress was just slightly... More

It has been a while since i stayed at this hotel. But i have spent 6 months over a two year period. The staff at check in were very helpful with information, maps and suggestions on places to visit. stayed there for one night only, and although it is centrally located, I found nothing exciting in this hotel, the rooms are kind of all fashioned in style, very dull I have to say. I have stayed in many hotels in Berlin within the same range of price, at a much better quality.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
