The hotel is situated in a pleasant setting within a good area close to clubs and restaurants and shops. The rooms are spacious clean and well appointed. The breakfast buffet is to die for. They have everything including salmon and even champagne.

We stayed in 6 different hotels throughout Germany, Poland and Prague and this was by far our favorite. The rooms were very spacious and clean as was the entire hotel. I was continually asking for help with restaurants, transport, sightseeing, things for the room and they were always willing to help immediately. We had to leave before breakfast to get... More

Great location may be the best aspect. Rooms and service fine (not super high end, but more than adequate); personnel very friendly and helpful. Not an issue for me, but some people might be put off by smell of smokers (not sure whether it's all smoke-free, although our room was.) Great value for the money, so along with the ideal... More

The room was a bit warm, but was nicely furnished and comfortable.A request for extra pillows was granted with ease. The breakfast buffet was superb, though we got it included in a great room rate, so was extraordinary value!

We arrived early and were able to check in then. We had emailed the hotel previously for a couple of requests and they said they would do their best. We were amazed with our room. A superior room with a huge very comfortable canopy bed, views over the hotel garden and the only sounds were the birds. The room had... More

We decided to goto Berlin with a group of friends for beer, steak and cigars. Stayed at the Savoy in Berlin because the newly opened Casa de habanos is right next door. The hotel was clean, the staff very friendly, polite and welcoming. Breakfast was good with a good variety to choose from. Located relatively central moving around the city... More

A lovely hotel with a gentrified feel. Located in a great spot near the Zoo station, it has refurbished rooms that were quite big. We had breakfast which was on the expensive side. We enjoyed Berlin and found this hotel to be a nice retreat from our long days of sightseeing. Great staff too!!!

Once upon a time, I had to stay in Berlin for a Training Programme. In my "off" time I went to explore. The Hotel was situated perfectly, the staff helpful and the room was nice and clean. In fact it was beating my expectations on every level. If you need a stay in Berlin for business reasons, all I can... More

Our three night stay at the Hotel Savoy surpassed all our expectations. It is a splendid hotel and from our initial greeting on arrival by the Duty Manager to the time we left four days later we were impressed by their professionalism, customer service and attention to detail. Breakfast was the most enjoyable we have consumed in any city hotel... More

If you want to experience the plush coziness of an old-fashioned hotel, conventiently located close to the Zoo train station (but in a quiet street) and the Kudamm boulevard in the Charlottenburg quarter, then try the Savoy. The rooms are typically European, i.e. not that big - but bathrooms are modern, beds just great and you'll get an excellent breakfast.... More

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighborhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighborhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theaters close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
