Art Hotel is reasonably priced. Our room was large, light, quiet, and clean. Staff was friendly, caring and responsive. Breakfast was fine with diverse buffet with individually-prepared eggs, but it could have used some sweet pastries in this city of excellent baked goods. Since there is no lobby, only opportunity to meet other guests might be at breakfast. But....three floors... More

This small hotel on the 3rd floor of a classic building in Berlin. The rooms are huge with high ceilings and nice furnishings. The bathroom is smallish, but clean. The staff is excellent. They're really very nice and helpful. The tv is all German, but the WIFI works great to connect and see all your shows.

I think this is gay hotel, but maybe gay friendly, so many women was there. Very good location. Quiet room on street side, too. Perhaps more cleaning will be better, there were great dust-balls under the bed.

This is not my first visit to Berlin and I was there to catch up with friends and enjoy some of the social life, art and culture of the city. ArtHotel Connection was well located for my visit and within easy access to the many gay activities on offer during the time of my visit. The hotel was clean, comfortable... More

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel - and definitely won't be the last. It is in the centre of things - but the rooms are very quiet with no disturbance from the two busy bars three stories below. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Both rooms we have stayed in were large and comfortable.... More

Pros: location (I love the neighborhood and have stayed in the neighborhood several times), size of the room (I was upgraded to a suite albeit it was small for a suite), WiFi (fast), furnishings, comfortable bed, safe that worked Cons: noise in the hallway of people constantly talking (office right there), cleanliness (first two days noted the floors weren't swept),... We stayed four nights here in a very large, bright, comfortable and spotless room. The location was close to the U-Bahn and WIFI was fast and reliable. Everyone we met at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfasts at the hotel, but at a lovely little pastry shop down the street.

Hôtel situed in the middle of gay area. The rooms are clean, spacies and very comfortable. The team is very open minded and very carefully for us. Very close to the mains gay shop and bars. Fuggerstrasse is the principal gay street. Sûre you Will enjoy your stay here

For what I got, I would have liked to see something cheaper. My room was tiny and it didn't seem as artsy as advertised. 40 minute walk from the main sites. Would recommend this hotel over the competition only if you're looking to be in a gay hotel / gay neighborhood, which this hotel is near and conveniently located to.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
