We stayed four nights here in a very large, bright, comfortable and spotless room. The location was close to the U-Bahn and WIFI was fast and reliable. Everyone we met at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfasts at the hotel, but at a lovely little pastry shop down the street.

Hôtel situed in the middle of gay area. The rooms are clean, spacies and very comfortable. The team is very open minded and very carefully for us. Very close to the mains gay shop and bars. Fuggerstrasse is the principal gay street. Sûre you Will enjoy your stay here

For what I got, I would have liked to see something cheaper. My room was tiny and it didn't seem as artsy as advertised. 40 minute walk from the main sites. Would recommend this hotel over the competition only if you're looking to be in a gay hotel / gay neighborhood, which this hotel is near and conveniently located to.

When booking ArtHotel Connection, we expected a standard midrange European hotel, however what we got was much more. First of all, it has a great location, as it's still in the city centre, yet in quite a peaceful area, with 5 mins walk to the U-Bahn station (Wittenbergplatz) and many parking slots available in the area. Secondly, the hotel takes... More

This was our second trip to this hotel. This time we brought along some friends to stay in the hotel. We booked the studio apartment which is located on the floor below the hotel, although easily accessible from the hotel for breakfasts etc. The studio room is beautiful, light and airy, located on the corner of the building with windows... Great place to stay in Berlin if you want to be in centre of (one of) the gay areas and are looking for somewhere a little more personal and different. The location is really handy, 5 minutes walk from Wittenbergplatz U bahn. The hotel is fairly easy to find, just look for the door in between the Connections shop and... More

I am just back from a great weekend in the Arthotel Connection. It is right in the middle of everything such a cosmopolitan area has to offer. My room was a good size and really comfortable; the curtains blocked out the light in the morning and it was all ever so clean. Breakfast was a good selection of rolls, cheese... More

This is 'our' go to hotel when we go to Berlin! We have stayed there 4 or 5 times and recommended it to friends. Yes it is a gay hotel and we are a straight couple, but it is very hetero-friendly and we love it! The staff is super, the hotel is uber-clean and very tastefully decorated and comfortable. No... Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
