I popped by Berlin for a couple of nights to check out the *cough* winter markets. I chose the Play & Stay Apartment which wasn't advertised on the hotel's own website until you came to chose a room, but which was very impressive and a great well kept secret if you are looking for something a bit different.

The hotel is run super efficiently by uber friendly Jens and Chuck who were happy to point out the best restaurants, bars, and clubs (of ALL types!) . I took their advice on a couple of occasions and wasn't disappointed.

The hotel has been undergoing a refurb (no noticeable signs of workmen), so it looks fresh and is an utter bargain. I paid 105 euros for my own apartment with large double bed, "play room", kitchen and bathroom. The bargain of the century located in the epicentre of gay Berlin. Free access to Connection underneath the hotel was included. It's worth a visit!
