The hotel is a bit dated with all the modern conveniences. A charming combination a personally love. The entire hotel was spotless and felt clean. My room was perfect, clean and fresh linens, spotless bathroom and shower, comfortable bed, etc. I felt the rates for what I got was very reasonable. I also liked that the hotel was in a... More

A basic B&B which was a pleasant experince. The location is great with just a short walk to Kudamm. The rooms are very basic but clean. Bathroom extra nice considered a B&B. (i stayed in a room with private facilities) Breakfast is nice and affordable. Recommended. WIFI free of charge and worked fine.

very big room in a good location in Berlin. The hitting system worked great. Dinning room could be better, but it's good enough for the price asked. There's always a man at the door - so no problem getting in and out late night for partying.

We stayed at the Arco Hotel in May for 3 nights. When I arrived, the owners were friendly, but when I said that my boyfriend's flight had been delayed and he might not arrive until midnight, they asked me (quite unapologetically) if I would be there to let him in since they wanted to go to bed. Whilst I could... More

We chose to stay in this hotel for a second visit to Berlin for 9 nights for the reasons cited by Catherine K and Bill B. All staff (Herr Michael Reuter, Frau Corinne Macoritto, and the regular Fruhstuck hostess whose name I did not get) helped us enjoy our stay with smiles and greetings, second pots of coffee at breakfast... We were very satisfied with our four night stay at the Arco Hotel. Even though we opted for the less expensive double room, it was roomy, clean, and had a good bathroom. The breakfast included hot foods, cold cuts, cereal and various breads and cakes. My only complaint was that WIFI (5E total for the 4 days)did not work in... More

The Arco Hotel on Geisbergstr in Schoneberg is the perfect place to stay in Berlin. The neighborhood (just around the corner from Viktoria-Luisa Park) will remind you of an exclusive street in Greenwich Village. It's quiet, leafy, and serene----and just a very short walk away from three U-Bahn stops and all the Schoneberg clubs and restaurants you'll want to go... More

My initial impression of the hotel was a little disappointing. The entrance is a tad scruffy and the carpet rather dirty ... on getting to the room it reminded me of an English sea side B&B - not a great start. The neighborhood was quiet and residential and this made me think we were miles from the center - though... More

Arco Hotel - Berlin - From previous stays, I knew that, in this small middle-aged hotel the single rooms are small, especially if you’re stuck in one during bad weather. I reserved a “small double” room at their site and it was just right. Plenty stowage, very good bathroom, nice view of the courtyard, and ample breakfasts in a pleasant... More

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighborhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the center of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the center of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
