We really enjoyed our stay here the location was good and reasonably quiet yet only 10 minutes on foot to checkpoint Charlie and within walking distance of many of the attractions. The room was very clean and comfortable with an excellent shower and good bed. A big thank you to Christine who helped us book bus tickets for our onward... More

Hotel was immaculate, very clean and new. Our room was simple and modern with everything you need. Not huge but more than enough for a short stay. No problems with noise or anything like that, we slept well and the room is climate controlled so very comfortable. Location is good; 5 minute walk to Spittelmarkt tube station and about a... More

My husband and I have just returned home after a 6 night stay in this hotel. The hotel itself is very modern with themed rooms which are spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very good value with plenty of choice to suit everyone. The staff are all extremely pleasant and helpful. I would like to single out Stefanie who really put... More

I spent only one night in Berlin at the Grimm's Hotel for a business trip, and I found this small hotel lovely and well located. Close to the centre and the underground so you can move easy through the city. The staff (the lady) is really friendly and She helped me with some information about the city and local transportation.... More

What a really lovely fresh clean modern hotel, for the price we paid for a three nights stay, the style and standard of the hotel exceeded all expectations. Really well located for all, me and my partner were able to walk to all the touristic places. But what really made the stay great for us was how helpful the receptionists... More

Everything went smooth. Staff was really friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, cozy, modern and very nicely arranged. The location of the hotel is at walking distance from the center (around a 20 minutes walk). Free wifi in the lobby, but if you want internet in the room you need to pay extra. Breakfast was good. No downsides at... More

I stayed for one week in Grimm's with the family and I really appreciated the hotel in whole. The female staff is particulary helpful and caring and they really interact with the client with the aim of providing the best service and clear information. I booked an apartment: modern, big and full of light. Tidy and with a good sleep... More

We were there for couple of days. Room was nice and clean. However, this was completely spoilt by a very rude and unfriendly male staff at the reception who was obviously keen to go home or too tired at the end of his night shift.

The rooms are beautiful. My main reason for writing this review is because of the amazing staff, specifically Emina, who went out of her way to help my family tour the city. As a person who works in the service industry, I know that what she did for us went above and beyond. Emina represents excellence in customer service. I... More

I stayed in this hotel twice this fall, the location is a bit off, so the room prices are moderate, there is a short walk to bus stops and U- bahn. The rooms are spotless and the hotel staff helpful, the streets nearby are residential area or offices. Opposite of the hotel there is a pizza place, World of Pizza.... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
