Tryp Mitte hotel was a nice and clean hotel. The location is good, just a few minutes walk to subway and subway takes you to the most locations you need. The only thing crappy is the internet: you get one internet voucher a day for free for an internet that's something like 256kb/s. So don't expect to be streaming with... More

We stayed here last year just after New Years. It's close to the underground, just a few minutes walk. We didn't have breakfast here but there is a lovely cafe almost opposite or a small shop nearby too. Restaurants were about a 15 minute walk away and there was quite a bit of choice. Would definitely go back if I'm... More

I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of January 2015 for a short trip to Berlin. The hotel itself is newly built and has a modern decor. The staff at reception were always very friendly and helpful with a good grasp of English. Our room was a twin room facing the back (requested by myself after reading how... More

We enjoyed our stay here last Summer mainly due to the location. The Naturkundemuseum station is less than a minute away which meant getting around the city was easy as well as getting to and from the airport. The hotel and rooms were clean and quiet however the main disappointment was despite booking a double room we found the room... More

A modern Hotel in former Ost Berlin. Great location, good near by transportation, good parking in the basement. The breakfast is rather expensive, walk down the street and eat in one of of the many bakeries nearby. The rooms are comfy and certainly clean, exactly what one expect in Germany.

Tryp Berlin is a comfortable hotel to stay at. The location is excellent as it is right next to a metro stop of Naturkundemuseum. The street itself where the hotel is has some clothing stores, restaurants, cafeterias and couple of food stores. However, it is not really a shopping street. However, in the evening if you walk towards Oranieburg area... More

We visited here in January, and it was a very welcoming hotel. The room was really nice, comfortable beds! The shower was really relaxing too. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful. It is in the perfect location, as it is a 10 minute walk from the big station or the subway station was just outside the hotel. Highly... More

I would have given this hotel 4 stars but the internet barely worked and the tickets lasted 30 mins at best. That being said the hotel is in an excellent location 2 stations close buy and very centrally located near all the sights. Supermarkets local as well as various food outlets. The clubs we went to were 6/7 mins taxi... More

Stayed for 3 nights in mid January with wife and found hotel to be in great spot for exploring sights of berlin. Reichstag /Jewish memorial / Brandenberg gate etc all within walking distance, but tube was right outside hotel if u don't fancy the walk. Rooms spotless and spacious. Wifi was a bit hit and miss but only used it... More

Only faults were the heating could not be turned below 20 degrees which was too stuffy for me and the wifi was a poor system with 50mb tickets being handed out at reception. The location was ideal for sightseeing only 100 metres from nearest tube station.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
