The hotel is practically in the dead center of the city. A fairly modern hotel that is surrounded by some of the most important tourist attractions and upscale shopping streets, the location is perfect. I checked in early but the room was not ready. Recognizing me as a Hilton Diamond member, the checking staff offered me to rest in the... More

You can't get much closer to the action than this. The hotel is immediately across the street from the Gendarmenmarkt and Deutscher Dom, and a quick walk to some excellent shopping on Friedrichstrasse. The lobby is beautiful, and they have a piano player in the evenings, which makes having a cocktail at the bar into something even more special. For... More

Nice hotel. Good standard. Close to attractions but far away from the bars. Nice qute little pool and textile free sauna. Had the room to the yard so cant tell anything about a view. But some big old building is infront of the hotel if you are into history. Good restaurants in the area close to alexander platz where the... More

We stayed here for the start of our European adventure and it was a great choice. Very centrally located with great rooms, and one of the largest Executive lounges, serving snacks and drinks all day long. The staff was very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel.

You can't get a better location in Berlin than the Hilton. It's no more than a twenty minute walk to Museum Island (a must), Brandenburg Gate, or Checkpoint Charlie. The hotel itself is clean and well appointed. The breakfast in the executive club, while not as extensive as other Hiltons, is perfectly acceptable and tasty. Two less-than comments -- you... More

This hotel is in a perfect location - so close to shopping, major sights and restaurants. The U-bahn is also right out the front. The hotel is lovely and if you feel the need to work off all the beer and sausages the hotel gym is incredible and their protein shakes and smoothies are great. The staff that work in... More

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are delighted to hear that you had a great time staying with us. We hope to see you back with us in the not too distant future and promise to look into a different system for our minibar and housekeeping team, to avoid early morning disturbances. Sorry about this! I spent 2 nights at the Berlin Hilton in July 2015 and had a wonderful stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I lost a sweater and reported it to the front desk not expecting to see it again. I went out for the day and upon my return found a lovely letter in my room saying that they... More

I had several requests but all of them were done or organised nicely by the very friendly staff in the Lounge. On the other hand the lounge breakfast was less good in comparison to other Hilton hotels in Germany or Britain.

It was a very cheap price, a deal. Well, it was February and appearently no bigger fair in Berlin. They upgraded us to a Business room. Maybe they did not have more Standard ones available :) The Hotel is perfect but the always most important: its situation is perfect. You may not need a transport for day or for nightlife.... More

Stayed here on a business trip with 7 other colleagues and had a very nice if all too brief stay, hotel is very impressive from the foyer to the standard of rooms, my only gripe is that I only had one night here. Check-in was seamless, staff very professional, standard of room was excellent, very comfy bed and a brilliant... More

Indeed a one-night stay is certainly not enough to explore the city! We look forward to welcoming you back with your wife later this year. Maybe around Christmas? There's a lovely Christmas market right on Gendarmenmarkt square.. More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
