We arrived early and were able to check in straight away which was welcome after a very early start that day. We can find no fault with any aspect of this hotel. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The whole atmosphere is just relaxing & comfortable with top quality service. Perfectly located for exploring with easy access to... More

This is a fantastic hotel by all measures. Location Centrally located from Berlin key sights and streets and very safe. The church facing the hotel gives you an amazing vibe whenever u enter or leave the hotel. There are some shops and restaurants around the area which is very useful. The room Good size and amenities for the 6 floor... More

I saved $25 EU per night booking as a Hilton Hhonors member instead of through Booking.com. Also, you don't get the free wifi as Hhonors member unless you book direct, another 15EU or so saved per night. Got the allergen-free room and it was SO clean. We liked the location on the Gendarmenmarkt, very convenient. Had the Welcome Berlin transport... More

Hilton Berlin is one of the best places in Europe - the best in Berlin in my opinion very close to underground station - staff are very polite and friendly - the food is very tasty - very comfortable bed. I strongly recommend this Hotel to any visitor.

Thoroughly enjoyed five days at this hotel which offers great friendly service and quality all round. This is a good choice for a sightseeing visit or business in central Berlin. The proximity to a range of attractions and shopping makes planning a really good few days in one of the most interesting cities in Europe easy and fun. Food selection... More

We stayed at the beautiful Berlin Hilton and recommend it to all! Great location and the service was awesome. We walked to many locations and appreciated Berlin's contrast between historic and modern spots. We also appreciated the perks of being a gold member and took advantage of the lounge. Great spot, will certainly visit again!

A great hotel for location, comfort, and service. Walk out the front door, and you are directly in front of the Gendarmenmarkt, literally one of the most historic and picturesque squares in the Mitte part of Berlin. This is the so-called "Eastern Center" with the Brandenburg Gate, Checkpoint Charlie, the museum island all within walking distance. As for restaurants of... More

Stranded in Berlin for 2 Days and booked the Hilton - very nice hotel, clean and professional staff - the Executive Lounge prepared a very nice evening reception with very tasty food. Definitely recommendable - the only negative comment I would allow myself is that 13 Euro for a Makers Mark 2cl is steep

First and foremost, the location is ideal and fantastic.. You can walk to all the big sights, which include the Brandenburger Gate, German Parlament, Checkpoint Charlie and Museum, Holocaust memorial, DDR ( East German museum). No transportation needed. The hotel is also centrally located near many great restaurants and great shops and malls. One of the most historic Chocolatier shop... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
