Mind a few little hiccups with noise and the construction, there was nothing to complain about at this hotel. The grand entrance and interior architecture were pretty amazing for a hotel in the heart of Berlin while the Linden Superior room provided a great view down the Unter den Linden. Easily walkable from S+U Friedrichstr. Bhf and somewhat centrally located... More

It's one of my favourite hotel to stay in Berlin. Fantastic staff and location- with some delightful interiors especially all those wooden furnishings. It's pricey, but worth it, if you want to stay some where in Central Berlin.

Let me just say this hotel is beautiful inside and out. You walk into a gorgeous lobby with a breath taking grand staircase and it's nothing short of what you would expect from a Westin location. Where a company and a team distinguish themselves is when there is a crisis, not when things are normal. We checked in on July... More

Very happy with this hotel - particularly the service. Minor gripes - 26m2 rooms are just short of luxury - wooden floors make a nice change but increases noise from other rooms - particularly above you - a little too much noise coming from the corridors which I gather sometimes was staff chatter On a bad day I would only... Great location, central to most neighbourhoods and easily accessible using underground train with the closest station only a 30 second walk away. Hotel itself was very nice and matches the usual Westin standard, although the Atrium and grand staircase make this hotel even more unique.

I have stayed at this hotel a number of times over the past few years, and it has become a favorite. However this stay is a nightmare. With the hotel nearly fully booked, I was stuck in a 3rd fl room overlooking the massive construction project on the Unter der Linden. I was told that all "city view non smoking"... More

Very nice hotel and good location downtown Berlin. Buffet breakfast had a wide selection of foods. I was not located in the main building but in the adjacent one, that is newer. Staff was friendly also.

This was our second time at this hotel . Love the location, close to everything . Right next to attractions , shopping and restaurants . There is a very decent restaurant in lobby that serves really good food . Rooms are nice, clean and of good size. The fitness room is well equipped and the pool is great. The service... More

This is a very nice hotel. Be warned, lots of construction going on right outside (we could not leave our window open as the noise was just too loud). From the closed window, we could see the Brandenburg gate, the Berlin tv tower and the dome of the Reichstag. Which means all those things are in walking distance. We did... More

The staff, the comfort of the room, the pool and spa - I can't say enough about this hotel. I spoke several times with Kristin at reception and she was friendly and kind and so very helpful. It was a such a wonderful location, too. I look forward to staying here again some day.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
