Beautiful hotel in an excellent location in Mitte, with shopping, restaurants, and sites nearby. Top-notch service by the entire staff. Delicious breakfast (tip, don't just eat the buffet if you've paid for the B&B rate, order something off the ala carte menu too!). We visited in December for the many Christmas markets across Berlin, and they even brought us a... More

I have been conquered by the kindness of the people working in the Regent. Everything is very good: rooms are large and quite confortable, clean; very quiet despite the fact that it is located in the center of the city; bathroom is great and shower works very well; the whole hotel is very nice in its beginning of the century... We could not have chosen a better place to stay during our first visit to Berlin. The location is right at the heart of the major attractions of the city. The first rate staff is welcoming every time you enter the door. The hotel itself is quite beautiful with marble, lovely paintings, tinkling piano music and the scent of lilies.... More

The Regent Hotel in Berlin got it right in every single detail. They did not miss a thing! The bedside lights - unlike most hotels-were strong and bright for reading. They even thought to include book markers for us readers! Shower stall was easy to operate with no fussy knobs and programmers which usually leave you either freezing or scalding... More

We spent a week here this past week and we LOVED this hotel. I usually am very loyal to another hotel chain but we decided to try the Regent. We loved our room, we had a great view and the bed was comfy. The rooms are really quiet and you don't hear much of the noise outside of your room... More

This is a lovely hotel ideally located in the Gendarmenmarkt area of Berlin - almost right next to the Deutscher Dom. U-Bahn (underground) stations are only a couple of blocks away, and some of the major sights such as the Brandenberg Gate, the Reichstag and Museum Island are not much further. Easily within a short walking distance. The hotel itself... More

Stayed there early feb. on a business trip, staff are friendly and helpful, food is not bad but pricy, concierge suggestions were good and the best doormen in any hotel I have visited. Stayed in an executive suit, room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Highly recommended

As soon as you enter the front door, you know you've made the right choice. The concierge and desk staff are extremely welcoming and efficient. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious and not to be missed. The location is ideal, near to many sights and restaurants with easy access to the U-Bahn. This is... More

Wonderful, luxurious hotel perfectly located between Unter den Linden and the Gendarmenmarkt. Check-in was welcoming, the room was spacious and quiet. Concierge services were attentive and creative. Breakfast was ample and delicious. The U-Bahn station two blocks away. The Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag were a comfortable walk, as was the Berliner Dom, Museum Insel, Berlin Historisches Museum, St. Hedwig's Cathdral... More

Spent a few days at Regent Berlin and happy to report that it deserves its top rating on Trip Advisor. It's central location to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing is topped by the overall service received. Rooms were spacious, especially the bathrooms were very well done! Full breakfasts were very enjoyable and free internet worked quite well. Definitely recommended!

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
