Everything at The Regent, Berlin is so seamless and effortless that it felt as if the manager is on every floor and in every nook and corner of the hotel even though we never saw him even once. Superb value for money, wonderful location and very polite staff throughout all the departments. The room was very generous and so was... More

It is an elegant hotel, well located and as such it is not cheap. The room was OK accept the curtains wich were too short to shade the morning light so a wake up call is not needed. The ammenties were measured so a shower twice a day needs to be coordinated with housekeeping. If you wish the have bed... More

we were very excited about staying at the Regent as it was billed as so luxurious but apart from the foyer and the very excellent High Tea, the rest was a little disappointing. Our room was Ok but we expected better. The breakfast was not the great range that we expected. And it wasn't fully buffet, you had to order... More

Regent of Berlin is a splendid hotel located just close to Under der Linden, in the heart of East Berlin. This was just a family visit and I would have liked a great deal longer to explore a city that I love to visit. overall great!!!!

The Regent is a perfect hotel. It has the quality of The Four Seasons on all levels at a fraction of the price. The facilities and staff are stellar. And the location is perfect...convenient to getting everywhere.

This hotel is in a fabulous location, central to all the sights in Berlin but on a more quiet street. We could walk to all our destinations. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The staff recommended local restaurants for us and made the reservations, placing a reminder card in our room each evening. It's a lovely hotel!

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
