My wife and I recently spent 5 days at the Regent. We were in room 828. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. We were given an early check in which was great after the long flight. Our room faced a courtyard with a very lively outdoor restaurant. Even though you could here some laughter and talking it was never... More

This review is a long time in coming...in fact nearly 9 months overdue. But as I am planning my NYE 2016, I realized that I had not reviewed my NYE 2015 stay at the Regent Berlin and that is a real shame. Not only is the Regent a first class, five star hotel from top to bottom, but the NYE... More

Disappointed to be informed that on a recent Sunday night, Fritz restaurant and alternative Bar B Que was closed, leaving only bar food available.Other guests were also surprised with this arrangement. Check out was a shambles with double charging room and breakfast despite being prepaid. Did not appreciate double charging to credit card prior to check out. Suggest staying and... More

My husband and I spent a week at the Regent Berlin in July, 2015. We were almost completely satisfied...the almost later. We had an executive suite which had loads of closet space, a huge marble bathroom with separate stall shower, perfect bathtub and a large sitting room separated from the bedroom by french doors. All was comfortably furnished from the... More

Superb service and attention detail. Excellent food. Even a club sandwich at the bat is an event. Common areas are elegant and superbly kept. The concierge is amazing. The Regent stick to its formula and it works. The location is excellent. But if you are looking for a hotel with a unique character and look, this is not it.

The Regent Berlin is an amazing hotel, one of the best hotels I've visited. My husband & I enjoyed the comfort & ambience you feel the moment you walk in the door. If you're money conscious & concerned about the price, it is worth every cent. The location is very convenient to the tourist sights & Gendarmenmarkt. There are numerous... More

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The room was well appointed, the lobby pretty and the location convenient to many sites and restaurants. My only minor complaint was that I wouldn't eat dinner in the restaurant as we felt it was very over priced, even for a Michelin 2 eatery.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights, luxurious surroundings, friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, our suite, and in fact, the whole hotel was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious, and the meal we ate in the hotel was exceptional. Could not recommend highly enough.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
