We had a very nice stay in a very small room , but it was well equipped, except there was no fridge. But the price was very good so that might be the reason. The safety box was almost on the floor which is not very comfortable, but nice to have it and also have it included in the price.... More

Spent an enjoyable 4 nights at the Ramada celebrating our wedding anniversary. The staff were very friendly and although the hotel was full on a couple of nights they worked hard to find space for everyone at breakfast. The breakfasts were of a very good standard with a wide range of options including an omelette chef . Liked the location... More

I was quite disappointed by this place. Although fairly new to the Berlin scene, it was nothing terribly exciting. I had passed by here multiple times and ended up here because a company which invited me to Berlin put me up here. It's clean and fairly standard in it's design and interior. Nevertheless, I found the bed quite uncomfortable for... More

The Ramada chain of hotels has, or at least it has in my experience, provided a consistent level of quality and comfort in its hotels both in and around Europe, and Berlin's Alexanderplatz is no exception. Modern and uber clean with an exaggerated, throat drying bar tariff, it's situated in amongst the neon and ordered bustle of commuters and shoppers... More

Great choice for a first-timer in Berlin. Was given a room on the business (7th) floor. The room was small but well-appointed. We also had a kettle for coffee/tea available. Front desk staff was pleasant and helpful. Breakfast, although quite busy, was delicious and plentiful. Accessible to shops, restaurants and Alexanderplatz U-bahn, which connects you to anywhere in Berlin. Also... More

An excellent choice for Berlin. Well situated only a short stroll from the Alexanderplatz Centre and many superb shops and restaurants. Also a good transport hub with the mainline train station, underground and tramway a few minutes walk away. The hotel is a top quality 4 star with all the usual Ramada refinements. Our double room was spacious with good... More

Super hotel with excellent helpful staff. Our room was at the back and very quiet. The free wifi worked ok in the rooms but was limited to 24 hours. The breakfast was excellent but at the peak times it was rather busy we ended up sitting in the hotel bar with ours.

Positives: all nice friendly competent staff, nice cosy bar serving food late, good access to transport & all attractions, comfi bed & hot shower, quiet room overlooking main street, great coffee machine at breakfast, personal chef to cook fried eggs, mushrooms, if wanted. Negatives: poor breakfast - continental OK - but cooked involved very frazzled streaky bacon, chicken wings, meat... More

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at this Hotel. Was a bit worried about it as some reviews were not that good but it was so central thought we would give it a go. Was really pleased with our room although as some reviews say if you are on the 8th Floor there is some noise from the... More

Great location to explore Berlin. The beer garden next door has an awesome atmosphere! No tea or coffee in the room and the towels are too small, very old and rough! Attention to these details and it would have been a 5 star review.

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
