The hotel is located adjacent to Hackescher Markt - so there are plenty of restaurants and shops steps away. Other tourist sites are a few train stops away - and Alexanderplatz is a short walk. The interior is modern and clean. The rooms are fantastic - ours had a great balcony and a kitchenette which really comes in handy. Breakfast... More

This hotel has a lot going for it. Absolutely huge rooms, with sitting area, kitchenette comfortable beds nice size bathroom with shower. Plenty of room everywhere, including the bathroom where we each could place our kits by the sink. Good location about 10 minute walk to the UBahn. One event we looked forward to each morning.....the welcoming, smiling face of... More

This is a great place to stay. Location couldn't be better, very central to walk and conveniently located close to a tram, s-bahn and bus stops, so it's easy to go anywhere in town. Airport bus TXL also stops close to the hotel. I was travelling with a child, so it was convenient to have a small kitchen in the... More

Staff were amazing. We arrived a day late due to airline overbooking, and were not charged. Our luggage was lost and they took care of everything. They kept calling the airline and informing us of status. Our first room had a broken air conditioner due to a power outage the day before, and we were upgraded to a better room with washer... More

Very nice hotel in a perfect location to explore the lovely city of Berlin! Lovely beds and a perfect little kitchen. We had a great time! We hope there will be free wi-fi in the rooms on our next visit.

Excellent services and location. DDR museum and the museum islands are located within walking distance. Shopaholic travelers could also find many nice shops and restaurants around. Kaiser's supermarket is v close to the hotel as well. No worry for making meals in the apartment. Rooms are clean. Staff are nice and helpful. Highly recommended it for staying in Berlin.

We stayed three nights in this wonderful hotel. The friendly, helpful staff let us check in at 9:30am after a long international flight. The room was spacious by European standards, well lit, and with modern furnishings. The outside wall was entirely window! We had gorgeous views from our balcony of the TV Tower and across the city. Though we were... More

Dear 4 Joyful, many thanks for your detailed review. I am delighted to read that you enjoyed staying with us and the soundproofed window worked well for you. I am sorry about the carpet and towel, this should definitely not happen. My apology for that. We hope we can host you again. Kind regards Annette Jost More

Such a shame when a really great hotel ruins the whole experience with one basic thing. In this case: wifi. The lobby is basically a ghetto of guests who are desperate for zeros and ones. It's mad. Charge a few euros extra for the room but provide good wifi, with simple access and this hotel is vastly improved.

Dear jja007, many thanks for your comments. Unfortunately not every guest is willing to pay extra for something he might not use, and if you disconnect after each session you can split the wifi over several days. I am sorry that a wifi connection at charge is making a difference how you rate a hotel. Kind regards Annette Jost More

We arrived at the hotel quite early, and the friendly receptionist managed to get us checked in a couple of hours earlier. The room (studio with kitchenette) was absolutely perfect for us! It had everything you could need or want during a hotel stay - sofa, fridge, micro, table with chairs for dining, really nice bathroom with lots of space... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
