It would be very hard to say anything bad about this hotel. The service was great. It has a 24/7 reception and small bar, the staff were always friendly and helpful, breakfast was great too. The hotel and room was spotless and modern, totally as described. Room was a good size as well as the bathroom which had a shower... More

I was there with my family and we were really surprised - room was small but cozy, modern and clean. Also staff was pretty helpful - receptionist Tanju Yonkuo, thank you. Hotel is situated near by metro station (about 700 meters I guess). If we visit Berlin again, we will be happy to stay there again.

Room was good size and looking to an adjacent street, so no problem with noise, even when it had a connecting door with the next room. It has a tram running just in front of the main door, and two umderground stations just a 5 minutes walk. It is also in the location of the Berlin Wall, literally, as the... More

Basic but clean. The rooms were an ok size and bright and modern. More functional than luxurious! But good value for money and close to transport links (bus, tram, underground) to central Berlin, or just a 15 minute walk. Good breakfast too but there are nice cafes nearby if you wanted to go elsewhere.

The hotel was well located in the Mitte district, a 5-8 minute walk from the U station at Bernauer Strabe. The room was comfortable and clean (but it could be a bit bright in the morning, which may be a problem for a few, and we did hear someone snoring at the adjacent room). The offered breakfast was a rip-off... More

The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly. However, the rooms are small and overpriced, very noisy by the street and also have connecting doors (locked) that means you can hear conversations in the next room. The breakfast is good and worth the price-coffee, juice and more than you can eat. The location is good near to the... More

Hotel 4 Youth, interesting name for a hotel (a youth hostel perhaps, so I thought); it turned out to be a good choice. The staff were great, the hotel very clean and nice to head back to after a day sightseeing. I must say, and this isn't to put anyone off, it felt like I was staying in an IKEA... More

I really enjoyed my stay at Hotel 4 Youth am Mauerpark. The hotel/hostel was in a lovely modern build and the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. There are no frills at Hotel 4 Youth, but the price does reflect this. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The best part about the hotel for me was its location. I... More

I spent three days here and it was great! Check-in was quick and easy! The reception is warm and friendly. Very helpful as well with directions. It is very close to an underground train station Brenau and a tram stops across the road. The rooms are newly refurbished, clean and neat. Breakfast wasn't great although it is buffet continental there... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
