Great Hotel near to the hip parts of Berlin. Last time i was in Berlin - about two years ago - Friedrichshain was still a little off the beaten track; reviews talked about graffiti and the crwod was predominantly young and trendy. Two years on and theres a marked increase in tourists of all ages. The NHOW is a recent... More

Just 4 k away from the city centre, directly located at the river Spree with a nice terrace to enjoy. Very modern decor (just check the regular pics, didn't take my camera). Nice, quiet and spacious room. As it was warm I had some quality time on the terrace along the river. Overall a nice experience. The only drawback: I... More

This is a very unique, artsy hotel. I loved the design of the lobby, our room and the view of the river Spree. The front desk staff was very friendly although the concierge was more absent than not. Overall this is a well run, clean, efficient hotel. There is one reason why it doesn't get a 5 star. Our room... More

Absolutely fantastic place. I was not disappointed. Everything is nicely designed and well-done. The service is very good. Has nothing more to say. Thinking about, what was bed, the loud open air party on the other side of the Spree River was disturbing the first night. The breakfast a little bit too expensive, yet it deserved the price.

Heard about this hotel from a colleague, so when my girlfriend and I planned a trip to Berlin, this was pretty much the first place I checked out. They had (and have) decent offers if you stay 3 nights or more and we ended up paying about €230, which I think is a very decent price for what you get... More

My family and I recently stayed here and we loved it! The hotel was amazing! We reserved our through a common hotel booking website, and they really messed up our reservation. But the staff here had no problem accommodating us. The rooms are great and the breakfast buffet was the best ever! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

My trip was part business part leisure. I would not recommend this hotel as part of a busy business trip. Generally the staff were very pleasant and friendly however we had a few instances in which they were pretty unhelpful. The hotel is situated outside the main city centre. When we asked how we could get into the city centre... More

Location of the nhow hotel is its strength. Wherever we went out from a hotel, we paid no more than Euro10 for a taxi ride. Although I am not keen on flashy neon design, it was not overpowering throughout the hotel. Our room was on the second floor overlooking the road, but no noise of any kind could be herd... More

Incredibly nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is very delicious and very varied. Service was great and hotel was clean and nice. The hotel and each room are pink with a lot of nice details, like a tv-mirror and lovely slippers in pink. Everything is pink even the phone, bed linen and the products on the bathroom. The... More

Compared to other very good hotels in Berlin ( personally experienced 18 tophotels in Berlin) and the rest of the world, this hotel has become my favorite,..... and it is the only one that keeps me coming back!!!! I am always welcomed in a way by the staff, so I feel this is my second home. And the staff is... More

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighborhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
