We spend 4 nights in this hotel in Berlin. If you are looking for something modern and with a touch of design this hotel is for you! Our medium room was not so big but don't be scared about that, the room space was wonderful organized and the bed was really HUGE! The best in which I have ever slept!... More

The hotel rooms were small by Berlin standards, even by NY standards. Very little space to unpack. There was no TV in the room, just an imac and given that we had a thunderstorm one day so came in to watch a film and the internet went down, we had nothing to do as there was no internet. You can't... More

This hotel has a good location and it's design is cool, although not very practical: the hangers (attached to the backside of our bed) kept falling down, the Apple desktop was a bit complicated to use, we couldn't really hang your wet towels, the doors to the floors work with your e-key, which is not good when you have a... Pretty faultless really, the bar is attached to the reception so yes it's 24 hour. We arrived to a party/club night however the rooms are soundproof so it's peaceful once upstairs. Apple TV and beautifully clean rooms, we will return.

had the pleasure of staying at Weinmeister on my last visit to Berlin. the location cannot be beat. the room was solid. great size, well appointed, high tech elements. service in the bar was great. one complaint is that the hotel did not have hot water for the first day i was there. but i understand that was not the... The hotel is situated in a very quite street but in the middle of the New Berlin life:Oranienburger str (eat at Amrit indian restaurant, drink at Bellini lounge), Alte Schonhauser str (eat at Monsieur Vuong vietnamese restaurant), Hackesche Hofe (eat at Hasir turkish restaurant). S-Bahn and U-Bahn station very clost to the hotel.Beautiful crowd during all day, nice art galleries,... More

What do people expect from a stay in a hotel whilst on holiday or away on business? Well these are the things I look for. Good helpful enthusiastic staff, good nights sleep in a comfortable bed and a restaurant and bar for a meal and a drink. Not a lot to ask? Well the Weinmeister failed on all these basic... More

The hotel is very stylish with an amazing facade and an impressive interior . The room looks minimalistic , but I found it very comfy, especially the big bed. And the Apple iMac instead of television , is a great idea. The staff is always attentive . Very nice is also the Schwarz Bar , for sure the Schwarz drink.... More

Starting from the front door, which looks like the grafitti-tainted entrance of an underground techno-club (how typically Berliner), to the iMac 27" working station/TV set and the tendy guests lounging in the huge armchairs in the lobby, sipping Nespressos to the sound of minimal techno, everything is thought of to create that kind of innovative avant garde alternative ambiance that... The Weinmeister is a perfect hotel for a city break in Berlin. The location is just off the main shopping area in Mitte, with modern shops, breakfast places and good bars. We had a great time! The hotel is very modern and offers great value for busy shoppers. The bed takes up most of the room, but is perfect for... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
