The Weinmeister is definitely trendy and makes sure you know it by the graffitied entrance thats almost easy to miss. Once you're inside theres a lots of high back chairs so you can disappear should desire. Efficient check in process and jar of jelly sweets if you find it hard it concentrate without sugar. I had a room on the... More

OK. This hotel is situated in Mitte - central and trendy with good shopping around the corner. Not the trendiest of places anymore (it moves fast here) but trendy enough. The hotel's design is designed and quirky - sadly it's kind of missing the main point. Real good design should also be kind of useful. That's not really the case... More

Trendy, very nice designed, modern and cool hotel. Nice clean rooms with special designed bed and bathroom. Very nice chill-out bar downstairs with great breakfast menu. Great location near to Alexander Platz.

I'm probably too old for this hotel as it definitely targets a young clientele, but it's a good value and the location is great. Beds are comfy. Staff was friendly and spoke perfect English. I'll probably target something a bit more traditional next time but it did the trick.

A good location with modern rooms. Our room was on the top floor and had nice views over the north of Berlin. Bed was very good en standing in the middle of the room. Behind the modern wall at the top of the bed was the bathroom. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but it looked good. Location nearby... More

The Weinmeister in Berlin, has name that translates to a master of wine. The name carries a peculiar resonance in either one of two ways. 1. You either need to be really drunk to stay here, or 2. The master himself had gone heavy on the wine before conceptualising this hotel. To put it in less metaphorical terms, The Winemaster... More

I have always enjoyed staying here. The staff is very international, the food is nice, the beds are very comfortable and if you pick a room with a bathtub then you will get it freestanding next to your bed. The bed is facing a huge window and you will have an industrial Berlin view. Great place for couples and business... More

After reading some of the other reviews I have to say I wasn't that hopeful about it being worth the money but I was wrong. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On arrival they gave us a hot cloth and glass of lemon water which was nice after a long travel. They will give you advice on where to... More

Visited Berlin over newyear, and stayed 4 nights at the Weinmeisterhotel Mitte. Friendly staff, good value for money (they recomend to book through their website instead of somewere else, then you can get an upgrade) and nice and clean, quiet rooms. They also have an awesome rooftop terrace, but it wasnt open now during the winter. Great location, couldnt have... More

Never experienced a more original frontdoor. Great service, glass of water, wet cloth at arrival. Center of city near hacker. Shops and restaurants all around. Coffee and cake at your disposal at front desk. Good experience

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
