A good location with modern rooms. Our room was on the top floor and had nice views over the north of Berlin. Bed was very good en standing in the middle of the room. Behind the modern wall at the top of the bed was the bathroom. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but it looked good. Location nearby... More

The Weinmeister in Berlin, has name that translates to a master of wine. The name carries a peculiar resonance in either one of two ways. 1. You either need to be really drunk to stay here, or 2. The master himself had gone heavy on the wine before conceptualising this hotel. To put it in less metaphorical terms, The Winemaster... More

I have always enjoyed staying here. The staff is very international, the food is nice, the beds are very comfortable and if you pick a room with a bathtub then you will get it freestanding next to your bed. The bed is facing a huge window and you will have an industrial Berlin view. Great place for couples and business... More

After reading some of the other reviews I have to say I wasn't that hopeful about it being worth the money but I was wrong. The staff are very friendly and helpful. On arrival they gave us a hot cloth and glass of lemon water which was nice after a long travel. They will give you advice on where to... More

Visited Berlin over newyear, and stayed 4 nights at the Weinmeisterhotel Mitte. Friendly staff, good value for money (they recomend to book through their website instead of somewere else, then you can get an upgrade) and nice and clean, quiet rooms. They also have an awesome rooftop terrace, but it wasnt open now during the winter. Great location, couldnt have... More

Never experienced a more original frontdoor. Great service, glass of water, wet cloth at arrival. Center of city near hacker. Shops and restaurants all around. Coffee and cake at your disposal at front desk. Good experience

Stayed a weekend. Overall impression is that appearance was more important to the designers than the practical needs of travellers. It's certainly funky, but parts of the hotel (reception and to an extent the bedrooms) are cramped. Nothing like a desk in the rooms, so if you're going for business you'll need to work on your laptop on the bed or... More

loved the cool style. location is the best you can get in Berlin ( and I am from there) closed to Hackescher Markt and Alexanderplatz you can walk everywhere and have great food options (my prefered one: Oranienburger straße. yes rooms are small, but the bed (and the sheets they used - never thought I can feel a difference before,... Very modern, fun hotel. Great location, about 40 minutes from the airport, but at a walking distance to all the must see places in Berlin and of course, shopping! Would definitely stay here again. The rooms are not very spacious because the bed is right in the middle of the room but I really didn't see any problem with this.

We had the large room & I can't imagine how small the other rooms are as this was barely enough room for us & our luggage. I also requested a higher floor room as had read here there were some noise problems being on low floors. We were given a room on the 1st floor right above the front door... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
