The builting is under construction and the corridor is horrible. The rooms are big but everything inside is the chespest Ikea there is. They don't accept credit card unless they can charge you 5% extra. The service is really rude but that's normal for the Russians. The internet is really really bad. I would recommend to stay in an other... More

Looking at the reviews on here before I stayed I was very worried! Yes there was black/brown water from the taps! The shower head was also broken. The rooms were really really hot. There was also ALOT of hairs on towels and bedding. The shower curtain should be replaced as it was really dirty. The rooms them self are okay... More

Seeing some of the negative reviews of these apartments has surprised me, as I thought it was a great place to stay. The outside does look pretty run down, but it is in former East Germany, so that is to be expected. The Apartment itself was great, a big room with a huge double bed and a single we used... More

I would highly recommend these apartments to anyone, good location and a good base for exploring Berlin! I would hightly recommened that you google what the apartments look like from the outside however as it took us about an hour to try and find them because they look run down and not noticeable from the outside with no sign to... On arrival at these apartments, the taxi driver pulled up outside and we were all shocked! The building outside looked seriously run down and was full of graffiti!! There was also some maintenance work going on. Inside the building it is in much need of a refurb, and again stinks and full of graffiti!! The lift also was disgusting and... More

I am reviewing an apartment called Alexanderplatz Apartments, but there seem to be a few ... and they don't have the above address. This apartment is within easy walking distance to Alexanderplatz station, the tower, all the Christmas markets, & department stores - Galeria. Apartment was excellent. 1 Bedroom, but 2 comfortable sofa beds in the living area, with kitchen,... More

Alexanderplatz apartments have a great location. Easy to come for airport (bus stops in front of the apartments) or to go to any part of the town. Apartment we had was for 3 people. It has large room, really clean, kitchen was fully equipped. It has all you need during your stay. Only down side is that the apartment has... More

This place was great! For some reason I only thought it was one room with two beds. So for clarification... it IS a two bedroom. With a small kitchen. One of the rooms is rather large with a coffee table and couch. The location is fantastic... RIGHT next to Alexanderplatz metro that will take you many places across town. Walking... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
