Do not let the low prize deceive you. This is a hip hotel that seems new and is clean and well cared for. Cleverly designed. The rooms are tiny but for the price and fabulous location you cannot complain. I would absolutely stay here on my next visit. Close to eating, grocery stores, and all the sites.

This hotel is in an excellent location to see the sites. Near underground stops. It has a fun interior. The rooms are a good size and clean. There was no noise. The breakfast in the morning was lovely.

Next time you are in Berlin...Stay Here. The place is very cool and an Excellent Value. Rooms are fun to stay in and the location was perfect. Bathrooms were larger then expected and we felt very comfortable. We will 100% stay here next time in Berlin.

Having booked a short notice break to Berlin we had opted for this hotel. Our decision was based on its proximity to places we intended to visit, the price and its quirky looking nature. The staff were all helpful and spoke excellent English that helped our developing German speaking skills. Our room was small but had a fantastic selection of... More

This hotel is in a good location to see the main tourist sights. Check point chalie and The Wall are a two minute walk. Other sights are slightly further away with the Brandenburg gate and the holocaust memorial about 30 minute walk. The free car museum is about an hour and half walk or a 20 minutes taxi ride. This... Arrived here, directions from airport given by hotel were spot on, even which exit on Stadtmitte to leave by. On arrival at 10.30 am, room was ready (amazing!), wonderful room overlooking the small square outside. Very well laid out, very friendly helpful staff, in fact, all around an excellent stay. A 2 minute walk from checkpoint Charlie, and all transport... More

The Hotel, while being a little more "out there" in design and colour schemes etc, was a perfect base for a stay in the centre of this historic city. The room, a junior suite at 84 euros a night!!, was large and airy with a huge bed with a big lounge that had two more convertible sofas and TV to... More

I really like this place – the modern, minimalist but practical décor, the clever lightening system, the little Korres toiletries in the bathroom and the best thing – the breakfast. There is a wide selection of hot and cold food and drinks and it is good value. There is a computer at the reception and the receptionist can print out... More

Any city break is helped by finding accommodation which is close to the places you want to visit. This hotel scores well on that with most attractions within walking distance and in Berlin that is further aided by the city being relatively flat. 200 yards up Mauerstrasse from Checkpoint Charlie in the old East quarter this is what I would... Came over to Berlin to watch Noel Gallaghers high flying birds and to soak up some of the city's history. We were not dissappointed!! Hotel was very clean, neat and tidy, modern and perfectly situated next to check point Charlie. Would defo stay again. There was just 1 thing that it was missing... tea & coffee making facilities in the... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
