What a great hotel. Huge new rooms with tall windows and a very nice view. The hotel staff was very helpful and gave us sincere tips about where to eat and party. This was one of the best hotels I've ever been to.

Nice hotel within walking distance of the shopping malls and the historical tourist must sees. Staff pleasant and room nice and clean. Disappointed there was no bath but my fault for not checking the room details. Bed was so comfortable and the bedding lovely and squidgy - felt like sleeping in a cloud. Didn't try breakfast as quite expensive and... More

I went there with my girlfriend for 3 nights. We had the junior suit. Service was flawless. Design is nice. Location was central with a U-Banh station next to it and a walking distance from all the main place of interests in Mitte. The bed was too soft for my taste. TV was mostly only in German and the movie-on-demand... More

This is an outstanding hotel, very centrally located and very reasonably priced. We too were upgraded to a larger room by a helpful staff. We had a large corner room on the 6th floor and were not troubled by any noise from Leipziger Strasse which runs right in front of the hotel. Location was extremely convenient with Spittelmarkt U-bahn station... More

We stayed here for a 3 night city break and found the hotel to be in an excellent location and very good value for money. Subway is opposite the hotel, and taxi to Tagel airport around 20 euros. 15 min walk to the tv tower. We stayed in a junior suit, around 120 euros a night, including breakfast. Check in... More

Our stay was outstanding mainly due to the amazing service we experienced. The reception we were always greeted with a smile and were generally very helpful. We got great advice on trendy restaurants (thank you Karolina!!) and the free coffee and tea in the lobby were a nice touch.

We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 p.m. and the staff was waiting for us. The front desk clerk at check-in was fantastically accommodating and even upgraded us to a larger suite. The first impression of the hotel was wonderful, but things quickly unravelled. The biggest complaint is that wifi is only available in the lobby on a very limited... More

My partner was on business in Berlin a few days prior to my birthday and suggested I joined him for 2 days at the end of the week. (October 2014) I had done some TA reviews and rounded it down to 3 hotels and let him choose! An excellent choice he made and even paid a little more for a... More

We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights in January. We had the mini suite and I definitely recommend it. The location is very good, between Alexsanderplatz and Friedrichstrasse in walking distance from many interesting places to see. The staff was very friendly, excellent breakfast and beautiful and clean rooms. Will definitely stay here again when I visit Berlin.

I stayed here on the 1st and 2nd of January 2015 after travelling with my girlfriend to Germany for the new year. We arrived at about 5pm and were immediately told upon check in that we were being upgraded to a suite, always a good start. Although I can't speak German, the staff seemed friendly and were very accommodating, for... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
