Great management! Stefan is the best Highly professional. We have stayed in 3 different apartments and all were super clean, modern, well maintained Stefan is easy to reach and responds quickly on Internet. Zero crime, great location, great restaurants steps from the door. Wifi was strong and perfect. I read the one terrible review about here and totally disagree. Park... More

Came back to Berlin (three years later) for another stay in the ideally-located apartment Isabella. Love this location, and the apartment is the perfect size for 1-3 people. The building itself could use some work--hallways and entrance are a little grim--but the apartment is well-maintained and furnished. The building is just steps from the Hackescher Markt S-bahn, a nice grocery... More

We echo a previous reviewer [Lin K] said about the Centro on Leipziger Strasse. We stayed 7 nights , we were met by Stefan who explained all we needed to know and reminded us not to forget the keys to the apartment and building when going out sight seeing. The location was surprisingly good - when I looked at the... More

Really good service right from our initial communications. We were met at the apartment, which was very easy to find, with the key and shown round. It was very clean, tidy and comfortable with excellent facilities. The wifi was very reliable and the dishwasher and washing machine proved really useful. The apartment was close to the U bahn and restaurants,... More

Really good value, near the U bahn on a quiet street but walking distance to plenty restaurants and cafes. Berlin is an easy city to navigate and the apartment was well located for sight seeing but also accessing a range of great places to eat. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable with strong wifi connection and two bedrooms, plenty... More

Me and my friend stayed at apartment Azure in the middle of March. The studio was spotless, sunny and quiet. There is a small balcony facing park and children's play area. The apartment itself was equipped with all the necessary household supplies. Except for making coffee we didn't cook there at all since there were loads of great and cheap... More

Berlin Habitat offers many apartments in Berlin Mitte. We rented the one in Granseer Strasse 2; this is the biggest, 60 sq m. The appartment can at first view seem a little bland, but our esteem grew by the day. It is very tidy and well laid out. It was rather cold at this time and the central heating was... More

We visited the Capri apartment. It was clean, had towels, an excellent wifi and is quiet. The view at the park is nice. Trips into the city can be done perfectly from here by foot, bike or U-bahn (5 minutes walk). Lots of nice restaurants at a walk distance amongst the Kastanienallee. Stefan Hiller (our contact) is a nice guy... More

We stayed for 8 nights the last week of August 2014 at the Centro apartment on Leipziger Strasse. Location The location was perfect for us. It was within walking distance to most of the sights we were interested in. We walked to museum island, the Reichstag, Kreuzberg, Jewish museum, Checkpoint Charlie, Topographies of Terror, Holocaust Memorial, Brandenburg Gate, Tiergarten, Berlin... More

We stayed for 4 nights in the Oasis apartment, great location. Just a 5 mins walk from the subway which was easy to navigate and a supermarket just down the road. Very spacious rooms and had everything we needed. The only downside was the shower (which was a bit difficult to use) and the bed wasn't particularly comfortable but neither... More

Staying in Mitte

Neighborhood Profile
Mitte
The center of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighborhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
