So boring!!! Indie rock music, boring staff... Not for me! And they really aren't organising anything and they don't help you to find places neither! So if you're into hipster music, boring artsy conversation and walking around the most confusing city in the world... Go there! If not, try something else ;)

Stayed 4 nights and surprisingly slept well throughout the entire stay. Lots of food nearby and the hostel is right next to the U Bahn making for easy travel. Rooms were clean and staff are friendly. Sad to be leaving Berlin!

This hostel is overall a good place to stay. It's practically on top of a U-bahn station so it's very easy to get around if you don't want to walk everywhere. It's in an interesting, less touristy part of town, has hot showers, and a cool lounge/rooftop deck area. The downsides are you can't bring in any of your own... More

This was the perfect hostel for a solo backpacker and was one of my favourite European hostels! The hostel facilities are great, with multiple toilets and clean single-sex shower blocks, large rooms, good kitchen facilities and a great common area to meet people. Cheap beers are available from reception and there's a nice rooftop area which would be great in... More

This hostel is definitely one of my recommendations in Berlin. The good impression started right at check-in. At check-in they told us one of the pipes in one of the showers burst, so there were less showers available, but because they thought it wouldn't be fair to make us pay the full price then, they knocked off 20%. I think... More

Beautiful terrace, spacious dorms (even the 16 bed dorm was so spacious, filled with light and well organized), clean showers and bath. The staff were very friendly and Kreuzberg where the hostel is located has a lot of character and nice mix of people! Had a wonderful stay. You should go there just for the roof top terrace.

Had a great stay here. Was really easy to meet new People in the awesome Lounge area. The staff were super friendly, passionate and knowledgable about the area and the City in General, and gave me some great tips that helped me see Berlin "like a local". Would definitely recommend to travelers who want to meet other travelers, especially the... More

this hostel was great- it had a medium size communal area so you would always see the same faces (which i think is important after staying in larger hostels). Great location, reception was friendly. had a great feel to it, will definitely stay there again when i go back to berlin.

Great hostel! Good location in Kreuzberg close to public transport. Supermarket and cash machine across the road. Lot's of food places close by open til late as well! I stayed in a 6-bed dorm, was nice and spacious! The staff were nice and helpful. The highlight of this hostel is the huge common area. With multiple tables and lounge area,... More

60 bed hostel. For Berlin that's tiny. It felt tiny. But it was also relaxed, cool, cozy. Had a vibe to it I haven't found in other hostels in Germany (also Berlin, but visited only 2 others. They were crap compared to Comebackpackers). The reception was friendly. The rooms were cheap, but didn't feel cheap. Most importantly, is the people... More

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
