This hostel is definitely one of my recommendations in Berlin. The good impression started right at check-in. At check-in they told us one of the pipes in one of the showers burst, so there were less showers available, but because they thought it wouldn't be fair to make us pay the full price then, they knocked off 20%. I think... More

Beautiful terrace, spacious dorms (even the 16 bed dorm was so spacious, filled with light and well organized), clean showers and bath. The staff were very friendly and Kreuzberg where the hostel is located has a lot of character and nice mix of people! Had a wonderful stay. You should go there just for the roof top terrace.

Had a great stay here. Was really easy to meet new People in the awesome Lounge area. The staff were super friendly, passionate and knowledgable about the area and the City in General, and gave me some great tips that helped me see Berlin "like a local". Would definitely recommend to travelers who want to meet other travelers, especially the... More

this hostel was great- it had a medium size communal area so you would always see the same faces (which i think is important after staying in larger hostels). Great location, reception was friendly. had a great feel to it, will definitely stay there again when i go back to berlin.

Great hostel! Good location in Kreuzberg close to public transport. Supermarket and cash machine across the road. Lot's of food places close by open til late as well! I stayed in a 6-bed dorm, was nice and spacious! The staff were nice and helpful. The highlight of this hostel is the huge common area. With multiple tables and lounge area,... More

60 bed hostel. For Berlin that's tiny. It felt tiny. But it was also relaxed, cool, cozy. Had a vibe to it I haven't found in other hostels in Germany (also Berlin, but visited only 2 others. They were crap compared to Comebackpackers). The reception was friendly. The rooms were cheap, but didn't feel cheap. Most importantly, is the people... More

This hostel is located in the wonderful Kreuzberg, it's one of the hearts of Berlim, cause as we know, Berlim is so big that has a lot of hearts! And the staff of the hostel is really kind and generous. The only thing I didn't like about the hostel is the bathroom, which doesn't have any privacy and its a... More

The internet quality kind of sucks, the best chance to use it reliably is early in the morning when everyone has passed out. The layout of the main area is kinda weird for cooking, but they have some decent cooking equipment and the stove is gas. The hallway to the rooms really echoes, so you'll hear people pretty late at... More

Best Hostel I have stayed so far! Great Location with a Rooftop and view over the Kottbusser Tor in Berlin Kreuzberg. The straff is super friendly and helpfull, clean facilities. Restaurants, Bars, Cafés and Clubs are directly around the corner. The Barbecue on the Rooftop was awesome and delicious too!

Hostel is big, it has huge common room, kitchen and amazing roorftop patio. The stuff is also very nice and helpful! The atmosphere is relaxed there, drinks in the hostel are cheap and there's free coffee for everyone. So if you're into Kreuzberg this is the best place to stay there :)

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighborhood Profile
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighborhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and 60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and 90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighborhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
